    The 3.0 is fine so far, just one question I would like answered since I started playing. In the helm's Deep historical battle, why are all the uruk-hai in circle (maze, mob, what it is called)? Only pikemen get back to normal formation when I put them on phalanx formation. It was a bit annoying not to fully control the orcs' formation during the battle, but if it is what it was wanted to be, I can live with it.

    I don't have an exe file, I have a bat file. The game doesn't come any where near to launching. Lotr-TW launcher
    The bat file is: rometw-ALX.exe -mod:alexander/lotrtw. My computer search says there is not such exe file. How should I proceed?

    It was intended, in part because it looks more similar to the films, in part because it would be too easy to defeat the rohirrim cavalry with standard formations.

    I don't know if it was intended to be made this way, but when I play in custom games with Minas Tirith and I place a unit at the top, when I click on the lowest floor nothing happens. Seems like that they're stuck at the top if you deploy them there.
    Try clicking one level at a time. Minas Tirith is full of ramps, arcs, platforms, etc, and sometimes the pathfinding can not evaluate such long paths.
    Pathfindings will work better if your unit has a narrow formation.

    My remarks:

    - After human player or AI takes any settlement, it's population drops to 400. Is it supposed to be so?;
    - No female family member faces (instead of that I see Noldor faction symbol);
    - Age is named "rank" (maybe that's how it should be);
    - All born family members remain of rank equal to 0 (they don't grow).

    I understand that points 1, 3 and 4 are all intentional

    Ok, now I see the purpose of it. But in this case, maybe there should be no adoption events in this mod (if born family members can't grow up)? In oder to reduce growth rate characters could get trait of lesser fertility.

    My 3.0 mod crashes anytime I try to start a campaign. I had the 2.0 mod installed and it worked fine and I did not have any other mods. I can play the historical battles all the way through with no problem. Its only when I select a race in the campaign menu and then click the start campaign button that the game crashes. The worst part is I have already followed the steps in known crashes and campaign still doesn't work.

    Hi there and welcome to TWC Forums!

    Did you delete map.rwm file in ../Rome - Total War\alexander\lotrtw/data/world/maps/base folder?
    American, French, Israeli and British government's ILLEGAL aggression against the Syrian people, without any proof for chemical attacks in Douma, and without waiting for OPCW to conduct their investigation..
    Sons of *******, leave that poor, war torn country in peace.
    If you are a citizen of one of these countries, then DO NOT ask any help from me on these forums, since, in protest against this aggression by your governments, I do not provide assistance/help anymore.
    Let Syria be finally in peace.

    A video of false chemical attack in Douma, Syria, which led to Western illegal attacks.

    my AVG antivirus always detect when lotr-tw patch version 3 is the Trojan horse virus Backdoor.Generic16.WJE in Mods \ lotrtw - Game Ranger \ RomeTW-ALX.exe but different from the version 2.08 no virus, so I beg you to upload this data without the virus.

    When I beat the campaign it said keep playing or quit, I did keep playing and for some reason now all my units have been greatly reduced (goblin archers had like 120 now only have 15 goblins in a unit group) and the crashes when I try to do battles.

    Help! Have downloaded and installed both 2.0 Beta and 3.0 Patch to my RTw folder where my RTW.ALX is located. every time I click on the desktop shortcut to launch the game it freezes on the title screen. Ie lord of the rings total war in yellow with the creators names and bottom right corner "working version" it doesnT load to the next screen ie nvidia animation or creative assembly logo etc. I have to press enter to exit back to the desktop. Btw I also have the third age tw installed on my laptop and have had no problems loading and running the game.

    Greetings everyone.

    First of let me say great mod, been enjoying it really much, however a fatal error has surfaced.

    I'm on my Noldor playthrough, 215 turn and the game crashes instantly as I end turn. I have tried changing what I did in that turn several times, but to no avail. It crashes no matter what.

    Any solution for this? Everything worked perfectly until turn 215.

    This is the worst kind of crash, when it happens again after reload, no matter what you do.
    It is hard to help unless we can guess the exact cause. And even with the savegame, it uses to be hard to find the cause, sorry.
    Try to play a previous savegame if you can.
    Else, try to follow the movements of the AI until it crashes, to try to guess the trigger. Usually the conquest of certain city, or a city revolt. And then you may try to use "cheat" commands in the console command to try to avoid this event, if possible.
