AI army not moving
So, i'm playing a High Elves campaign, in H/H.
One of my armies was attacked by an orc army, outnumering me 2 to 1. As I start the battle i deploy my troops on a small hill, near the edge of the battlefield, and the enemy starts at the center. However the orc army doesn't move at all, for a great part of the battle. I try to move my army closer, and the orc army starts to charge at my location. However when I stop my soldiers, so they are ready to engage the enemy, they stop and return to their original position. I move my archers, so they are in range, and they start firing on the orcs. However this whole time, the enemy army just stands there, taking arrow fire and not moving. I stopped the battle there and quit the game, because this already hapenned in other battles, where the enemy army did not move to attack my troops, and just stood there, under archer fire.

Re: AI army not moving
if on the campaign map you attack then you have to be an attacker on the battle map. Are you new? Plus if the AI is smart he wont charge reckless on a hill when he is the one who is suposed to be defending. And about the enemy standing under fire. It happens al lot, it is just that the AI in total war is stupid
. I hope they will fix it in Rome 2 Total War

Nope, they attacked me, on the campaign map. In vanilla they would move to engage me in battle, even if I had the higher ground. However they just stood still, which was rather odd, and since I also have strange AI behaviours in other mods, I thought my Medieval 2 install could be "corrupted" or something.
