    Default Reconaissance in the Baleares

After receiving approval for the idea of the invasion of the independent emirate in the Baleares, Gundulf knew he would need information. Though the crusade would most likely not happen for a while safe was better than sorry. He had sent a loyal man, a former Muslim, tto the Baleares. He was to find the capitol city and learn what he could of it's climate and military.

The man's name was Yusuf. He was a convert to
Christianity, a former slave freed by Gundulf and eternally greatful. Gundulf had taken him in and trained him as a son. He was in a ship now sailing into Majorca the chief city of the Taifa of Majorca.

Majorca was a busy place, with a large number of slaves constantly at work in the open, focussed on masonry where possible.

Yusuf stepped off the ship with the few men that were with him. (5 seemed reasonable). They arrived in Majorca with the goal of establishing an intelligence network here in the Baleares. All his men resembled the citizens and spoke fluent Arabic. Yusuf needed a base of operations. For this he had bought a mansion within the city. Now he needed two things informants and some muscle. He sent a 2 man team to find a group of men in the city to hire. Street toughs or simply strong poor men in need of work. Christians were preffered but most would do. Next was to acquire eyes and ears. This would be much more tricky.
