How fast can the imperial campaign be finished?

Hey everyone,

I've just started a campaign as Macedonia on Vh/Vh and I'm trying conquer every settlement as fast as possible. So far things have gone well, but I was wondering if anyone else has ever done something like this. I can't seem to find any information. I heard something about 25 turns, but I think that was just for campaign victory, and not all settlements. I'm trying to get the whole map. Do you think 30 turns is a good goal?

I'm on turn 2 at the moment and I've got 10 regions now, but still a few more to go this turn.

Well 30 turns may be just doable but it depends on the Faction,to be honest i think one of the roman factions are better for this.The scipiee[i don't know the spelling{they are the guys with that whit fox symbol}] Have an excellent starting point. If you capture all the regions surrounding the other families they do not expand.I was once able to ensure,through this system, that the jullie had only 4 to 5 cities and the brutti around 9, after the reforms you can just crush anyone in your path if you handle Egypt well.

thanks, but I intend to have conquered everything before the reforms come around. I'm talking really fast here. The roman factions aren't ideal for blitzing because they can't turn on each other straight away. As Macedonia, which start with more regions than any roman faction and in the centre of the map, have better early cavalry and are able to take advantage of local cities that a poorly defended.

I've never tried this, but my instinct would be Carthage as optimal since you can start by expanding over Africa from Carthage, up into Italy via Sicily, and capturing Iberia as well from your base there.

I hear Greece is the best and I believe 10 turns is the fastest I've seen it done for campaign completion.

wow 10 turns is fast. But what kind of victory was that? short campaign? I'm going for total domination. All provinces.

I'm thinking I'll do it as Macedonia. Greece was a close second, but Macedonia has better cavalry, which I'll depend on for fast strategic map movement.

Imperial campaign I do believe. Short campaigns I've seen done in 5.

I believe the imperial campaign was lost in the big forum clean up. The short campaign should be under Genius of Restoration.
