I have a usernote from flaming a staff member four months ago, I regularly act out of line, I told Lusted that 'I wont take any guffaw from swine such as you' when he asked me to edit my signature. God only knows what else I've done. Ostrakon me or something. Remove my badge now before the reforms.

Why would you ostrakon yourself? If you want to leave, you can do so without something like this. Even if you formally wish to bring Ostrakon against yourself, it has to undergo discussion, debate, and voting. So under what pretext do you wish to bring ostrakon against yourself? Rudeness is not encouraged, but I don't think it is grounds for ostrakon. If you wish to be demoted, I'm sure someone can do that for you, but I don't think I would vote to ostrakon you. You didn't do anything to deserve it, and your personal wishes are not of my concern when I'm voting. (Not to be mean or trolling or flaming or anything, but that should be true for everyone.)

It's clear to me that Octavian is doing this to publically make his insults to Archer in a way that would not get them instantly removed. If he really felt he was unsuitable for the rank, he would simply relinquish the rank and make a statement in the suggestus that he felt he wasn't up to the standards.

Octavian, don't be daft. You are not a "total dick"! At worst, you are a young lad who is still finding his way in the world and learning the social graces. I've spoken to you often enough to know that you are an intelligent guy, with a few rough edges maybe, but nothing that time and the ageing process won't address.

For what it's worth, I enjoy our chats and hope to do so for many years ahead and look forward to see the maturing process in action with you.

I think I know what's behind all this and why you are "lashing out". My advice: in future steer clear of politics and politicians; at 14/15 as there are much more fun things to be involved with.

Chalk this one up to experience and learn from it! And remember, anyone unable or unwilling to make allowances for your youth is probably not much older than you themselves and are probably going through their own maturation process.

An important lesson I've learned is, that it is as important to forgive oneself as it is to forgive others their trespasses. If that sounds a little cryptic - then lets talk.

That is their opinion. Mine is that, while everyone occasionally goes a little further off-topic than necessary, you are not a worthy candidate for ostrakon. I would not support it, although if you want it I suppose nothing is stopping you from calling for a vote. If I remember correctly, the phrase is "Any civitate can call ostrakon against any other civitate" or something like that, so due to a thus-far unintended loophole, this is definately valid.

Forgive me for being a little tired of all the "making a statement" threads Ive been seeing. People wanting their civitate status removed, then being reinstated. Now people wanting to ostrakon themselves. Forgive me, but I grow weary of all this bravado - am I supposed to be impressed with this? I am sorry, your actions are somewhat tasteless but dont warrant an ostrakon.
