    No;

However, it's not allowed during weekends, public holidays, Imladris congresses or major apocalyptic events.

Which already rules out half of the era's.

Sometimes a strong leader must make the hard choices, if they jeopardize the entirety of middle earth by their inaction or incompetence, they will have to be destroyed or subjugated for the greater good. If you want to roleplay maybe their leader is being turned evil for some reason, and although you "hate killing your fellow elves" you have to do it to save them from the evil that has infected them. Alternatively, you could be the murderous bastard that likes to conquer. Lorewise it would be something that would make the pursts die and then spin in their graves, but this is alternate history with the starting point at the start of your campaign, its your story, Who is to say that there isnt going to be another kinslaying if it is necessary for the greater good?

i think you need to look at the past for your country and what the future can bring from your choice. hey its not like you end up in valinor when you die anyway.

Play MOS and you can unite the Silvian and High Elves faction. That is my current goal although I have no idea what I will do with Lorien Elves once I have done that.

Many thanks to the good folks down at the Graphics Workshop for the sig.

I usually do it for the reason that they sit on land that could be used to produce troops that you need for your war-effort. There's precious little forest specific vegetation in ME and if you want to go toe to toe with Mordor there must be kinslaying.

    Nothing wrong with killing Elves.
After all... If orcs are corrupted Elves, so what's wrong with killing more Elves? Especially if they're those uncouth forest monkeys who've never seen the light of Valar, and preferred to stay on these unenlightened shores?

Sons of Mars has a point.
To be serious. As the high Elves, I've had no qualms killing humans, Elves or Dwarves, especially if it means being able to defeat the ultimate enemy.

Typically, by turn 50, I'd have wiped out the Dwarves and Eriador from western M.E, and relocated my capital to Bree. I'd then wage war, on Isengard, and bring my forces down on any that oppose me.

To justify this lore wise, I hold a very very very deep grudge against the Dwarves, I've never forgiven them for having stolen the jewel. Even as Eriador I wipe them out as soon as I can. As the high elves, I also see myself as the first race, the one chosen by the gods. Everyone else is inferior, and if they oppose my mission to destroy the spawn of Morgoth, then they must pay the blood price. My need for vengeance is as deep as it is old. Those lowly forest Elves who would are call me kin are worthy only of being my subjects, their lives mean little to me. They did not heed the call, and instead wandered looking for their king.

If you didn't want to do it, why didn't you bribe the diplomat?
Under the patronage of Finlander. Once patron to someone, no longer.
    Content's well good, innit.

It's never wrong to kill elves
It's only after you have lost everything, that you are free to do anything.

i really enjoyed farting in the general direction of my celestial Valar "overlords" while building the most splendid and serene elvish empire down on the Arda and because i was proud and arrogant High Elf with a silver spoon stuffed up in my arse, i tended to treat everybody like $hit. but even then i never attacked my forest brethren. the dwarves did.

Killing Elves is fine to me as any faction. Also Elves provide a better challenge then the crappy orcs who are useless unless they have trolls and catapults and Nazguls.
