I like the idea of historical campaigns very much, i loved the system in Alexander where you needed to complete one mission in order to get to the next, complete with description of the campaign, that was much better than the system in RTW and BI in my opinion, i would love to see some campaigns, it would be great!

I would also like some other one-off battles to make an appearance though, one that i can think of is maybe the Battle of Tours i would love to see that in a TW game

I was thinking when you win a battle In the historical Campaign you unlock it in single battles although there could be a few single battles at the start

    Battle of Manzikert
Battle Of Lewes (Simon De Monfort)
Battle of the Golden Spurs (France Invades Flanders)
Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa (Spanish Reconquista)

most people forget battle of Bouvine in 1214

It's a total victory of the French Knights against the English and HRE army and Philippe Auguste become after the battle one of the most powerfull king in western Europe, this battle as the same impact for French than Azincourt for English.

Contrary to French popular belief there were very very few English knights and troops actually present at the battle, infact some have even argued that perhaps no more than 100 were present and none of them were killed. If anything it was a mercenary defeat (they were paid for by the English, I'll give you that), King John of England was out of the picture and after hearing of the defeat, went back to England where a Civil War was developing (because of him), otherwise known as the First Barons War. It should definately be a historical battle though seeing as it was essentially the battle that defined France.

However, Agincourt is the stuff of legend. Immortalised in Shakespeares play 'Henry V', it has always been an unparalled beacon of pride and defiance. It's no wonder that most people in England (that I've met anyway) regard the 100 Years War as more of an English victory.

Bannockburn defined Scotland as a nation but the revenge taken at Halidon Hill and Neville's Cross 15 - 25 years later seriously detroyed what Robert the Bruce had achieved. Should be in there though.

Flodden Field is the perfect example of a late Medieval battle and is possibly the first time field artillery was put to serious effect in Britain.

Those are some English candidates anyway.

the battle of Marignan in 1515 is also a great battle in the beginning of Renaissance
It's a great French victory, the end of Suiss invincibility and the beginning of the Italy wars between François 1er and Charles Quint.

I'd like to see something like the final battle for constantinople, where you could choose to play as the attackers or the defenders. As the Turks you should conquer the city and as the Byzantines you should at least hold it for some time.

For me historical battles for MTW 2 (1099-1520) should be:

    Siege of Jerusalem (1099)
    Hattin (1187)
    Siege of Pekin (1211)
    Las Navas de Tolosa (1212)
    Bouvines (1214)
    Bannockburn (1314)
    Crecy(1346)
    Poitier(1356)
    Tannenberg (1410 )
    Azincourt (1415)
    Siege of Orleans (1429)
    Castillon (1453)
    Siege of Constantinople (1453)
    Marignan (1515)

this 14 historical battles are the most important battles in 1099-1520 and I hope CA don't forget one of these battles
