Re: Canterbury Cathedral: Home to Henry Burke
Henry stepped inside with Henry Burke.
"It was made from a special mix of metals my father taught me. He had his own special techniques. Hard, light as a feather. They would make any other blacksmith wonder how this can be achieved. If you find this sword not up to your liking then another shall be made at no expense."
Henry presented the sword still in it's sheathe to Henry Burke.

Re: Canterbury Cathedral: Home to Henry Burke
Henry smiled, he was quite pleased with the workmanship it was evident tha smith was good at his craft
It is wonderful, though I ask one more thing of thee. Kings may come and go but the church must always have a presence within England to install order and maintain peace within the realm when the royal family fails to fulfill its duties. I shall be creating a holy order charged by the archbishop to protect the church and those whom are loyal to it. Now I come to my last request that you join the order and serve as a master armourer

Re: Canterbury Cathedral: Home to Henry Burke
Henry was shocked at this request. Yet he knew it was better than working in his father old workshop. He came here to deliver a sword and now he could be a protector of the church.
"I accept. What is it that you would have me do?"

Re: Canterbury Cathedral: Home to Henry Burke
Henry smiled with pleasure, his plans were soon to unfold and be would finally have a holy order
I have brought the finest masons in Europe to build the headquarters of the order, I would like that you speak with the architect and him your thoughts on how you would like your forge built and perhaps if there is time how you would like your new home.

A new home was a welcome thought to Henry.
"I will speak to the masons at once. Do you know where I might find them?"

Re: Canterbury Cathedral: Home to Henry Burke
Henry looked puzzled but did not want to keep Henry Burke waiting.
"I shall be off then. I will return when it is complete"
(ooc: are you making a new thread of the headquarters? Or should I make one for my new home?)

Re: Canterbury Cathedral: Home to Henry Burke
Henry Shieldworth hears of the news and rushes to Henry Burke. He looked very tired and beat up.
"What the hell happened to you?! You have been missing for days, weeks even! And now the men are all on alert?"
Henry was very confused and was desperate for answers.

Re: Canterbury Cathedral: Home to Henry Burke
Henry awoke in a haze, his body still in pain from the escape.
Im sorry my son, I have been a prisoner of Lord de Vassy. I shall tell thee that he is a cruel man, he had no respect for the church or God. Under his capture I was beaten, stripped naked and placed backwards on a donkey to tour the walls of London. I have never been so humiliated in my life, I would have rather died a martyr than becoming a mockery of the church.

Henry felt enraged.
"We must do something! He can't get away with that. Do you have men that are loyal to you? Men that would fight?"

Re: Canterbury Cathedral: Home to Henry Burke
I have a small retinue of guards to protect me, though I ask thee to stay away from London. It has become a city of butchers, the river has turn red from the spilled blood.
Henry went before the alter and fell to his knees
oh Heavenly Father bring quickly an end to the evil which now plagues the city of London, protect the innocent from harm and allow the forces good to triumph. I ask that thee give me wisedom and strength to lead your children during these difficult times, and guide my hand in anointing a good and true king worthy of the immense responsibilities and duties of being a king.
Henry than began praying in Latin

This request puzzled Henry, however he did not ask why.
"Of course"
Henry went off to find Lord Carlisle.
