    Default Region vs Religion

As I have been looking over these threads, i have come to notice that many people commonly say that this war is being fought by the West, against Islam. Now I have come to question why people use this, why say the West vs Islam? Why not just say Christianity vs Islam, because that is what it truly is. Christianity and Islam are fighting, and it is unfortunate because both are the followers of the book, and believers of Allah. Again, I question why the people say the West vs Islam, where it is more accurate to say Christianity vs Islam?

This is an erroneus statement. Jew, Christians, and Muslims believe in the God of Abraham, Allah is nothing but Arabic for God. Syriac Christians refer to God as Allah...

    As for the bible.
Most of the books of the bible were written in either the middle-late first century AD, or the early 2nd century. Those excluded, such as the so-called "lost gospels", were written for political purposes, and are otherwise non-canonical.

Not to nit pick, but Arabic Christians (yes they exist, and yes there are a lot) refer to God as Allah. Syriacs speak Aramaic, don't they? Their word is probably different.

Eh, I meant Syrian or Assyrian. Syriac christians speak...Syriac. Or Aramaic. Or something.

Ive been over this. Muslims do not believe in the god of the Christians or Jesus would be Allah. If Allah is nothing but Arabic for God then Thor is Allah.

And the Koran was pieced together and has lost passages as well.

    Then God can be Thor.

No, the Qu'ran has stayed the same over the centuries, and why do you try to disprove and hate Islam every chance you get?

So Jews don't believe in the God of the Christians either, or Jesus would be their God?

We use west because it's not necessarily Christianity. It's more our way of life and our freedoms (speech, right to vote, freedom of religion) than our religion. If you notice, the Vatican has not exactly called for another crusade against Islam. Many Christians don't even support Israel and the west. So I think your characterization is misguided.

True, but are there any Muslims within the Israeli and United States governments? I can safely say that if a Muslim ran, that he would not be voted upon just because of his religion.

It's more our way of life and our freedoms (speech, right to vote, freedom of religion) than our religion.
This is true, yet on the dollar bill, what does it say? In God we Trust, what message does that give you? The "West" is definatley influenced by religion.

People say that moderate Muslims should speak out against the terror attacks that the Taliban and the Militia groups in Iraq are doing, and my father has told me numerous times that it is up to the Muslims living in the United States right now to shape our future. When I grow older, I hope to change and educate the Muslims living in terror of both, the United States, and the militia organizations.

The west does not fight in the name of Christ thats why.
The reasoning for both is the same though, for either personal gain or for land and resources.

In fact western governments are secular.
Are there any Muslims within the governments of Israel and the United States? Those are the two major countries attacking and invading others in the middle east.

Neither christians nor most westerners believe in Allah.
Allah is the same as God, whether they are the same is up to you, but to Muslims, they are the same, and we, Christians, Jews, and Muslims, by an Islamic point of view, are all followers of the book.

Theres nothing stopping a Muslim from being in the US government other than not enough constituants. How do Jews get elected? How about aethiests? Do you think all members of our government are christians?

This is true, yet on the dollar bill, what does it say? In God we Trust
As a Muslim you have a problem with that? What if it said in Allah we trust? It doesnt specify the christian god.

For sure. Thats why were so civilised. Weve had our fill of religious wars.

Now your talking and it seems your father is a very wise man. How many times have I said the same. Only other Muslims can fix this problem.

The reasoning for both is the same though, for either personal gain or for land and resources.

The Secular West is fighting extremist religion terrorist movements all over the world. The hotbed of that is in the Middle East, which is full of Muslims and Islamic Terrorists.

So is the west fighting Islam? no. Are the extremist Muslims using the Islamic population for cover? Yes. That way they can continue their war against the west by saying muslims are the enemies of the West.

Like I said before, I highly doubt that if a Muslim man with the name Ali Muhammad Hussain ran for office, he'd be elected.

As a Muslim you have a problem with that? What if it said in Allah we trust? It doesnt specify the christian god.
No, I am simply stated a point that the West still has religious views.

Yes, my father is a wise man, and a good man. Rush, I have stated many times, that the only way these people can be stopped is through religion and education. Through religion they will see what they are doing pleases neither Prophet Muhammad(PBUH), nor Allah. Through education they will learn from their mistakes and not make them again, yet the "West", continues to invade them for their own purposes.

No we only fight for the presservation of democracy and freedom.
No, you fight only for your own gain. Nothing more, nothing less.

You know like Mohammed only fought to protect himslef.
This is not a Muhammad(PBUH) bashing thread, there is another one devoted to it, go there if you wish to say things like that, and you continue to argue about things you don't know about. The Qu'ran is meant to be read in Arabic alone, if you want to argue about it, gain knowlege about the Qu'ran in it's original and rightful form.

Im afraid not. Is Jesus Allah?

This sums up my response best. In the West we are not all fanatical Christians that are on a crusade (Im not even a Christian, im an atheist), but its more the ideals of Western civilisation such as freedom and such.
And its not even the West vs Islam either, its actually the West vs Muslim extremists, not the whole of Islam.

Allah is simply the word for God in the Islamic language. Although Muslims and Jews only believe that Jesus was a prophet, not the son of god, we still believe in the same god - as far as I can tell.

And I don't think it's Christianity vs. Islam really. I think if you wanted to describe it as a war between religions, it would be Islam vs. Christianity. I understand Christianity has done horrible things in the past, such as the crusades, where they were starting the conflicts, but I would say Christianity - with all due respect - is the religion under attack here.

No, I am simply stated a point that the West still has religious views.
Not the federal government, But the founding fathers thought that relgion indeed was important. But we dont fight in the name of any religion.

No, you fight only for your own gain. Nothing more, nothing less.

In that thread it was argued that Mohammed only fought to protect himself. Im throwing that argument back at you.

    Who created Jesus? God
Jesus is god and thats what you still fail to realise that christians believe.

God, and what is God equal to, Allah
There is no Allah. There is only god. Allah is the moon god.

They are just different names for the same being.
So were back to Jesus is Allah? This is why I say that Mohammed and Muslims are very much hypocrites. They say Jesus was a prophet but that he delivered a false message. How can this be? That makes him a false prophet. Do you people honor false prophets?

Exactly my point. People that I have met commonly call this war, "the War Against Islam".
Then these people are very wrong. We have no quarrel with Muslims such as your father and yourself. We may disagree on relgion but thats about it.

Yes, but the West has maintained many Christian principles, and again, look at the pledge of allegience, God is mentioned there again.

In that thread it was argued that Mohammed only fought to protect himself. Im throwing that argument back at you.
Okay, but again, this is not a Muhammad(PBUH) bashing thread, so leave him out of this.

Jesus(PBUH) is not God, he is assumed to be God, but I understand what you are saying.

Rush, Allah is an Arabic word of God, so it means God in another language .

So were back to Jesus is Allah? This is why I say that Mohammed and Muslims are very much hypocrites. They say Jesus was a prophet but that he delivered a false message. How can this be? That makes him a false prophet. Do you people honor false prophets?
Muhammad(PBUH) never said that Jesus(PBUH) teaching were wrong. Muhammad(S) acknowleges his teachings as correct, and Rush, don't go find some quote, because we all know those are from biased sources, the Qu'ran is only correct in it's original language, Arabic.

Then these people are very wrong. We have no quarrel with Muslims such as your father and yourself. We may disagree on relgion but thats about it.
They probably are, but then why has the media led them to believe this war is against Islam and Muslims? That is my point.

One more time. If christians believe that Jesus is god how can he and Allah be the same ? I doubt Jews think Muslims believe in the same god as they but I dont know enough of that relgion to back that up.
    God, using the Sun analogy:

    God=the Sun
    Jesus=the light of the people
The Holy Ghost=The rays which carry the heat

Correct? So God is still at the top, and that God is Allah.
