You'll get that with your i5-3570k, 1 GTX 760, and 8 GB of RAM. Might have to make some adjustments to shadows and AA.

Why don't you just purchase one GTX 760 and play Rome on it when it releases in 4 weeks then you can always add another card, although I believe your purchase won't do an extreme justification towards performance.

That benchmark you compared to isn't really a great resource to judge by your system either, thats an OC'd 4th Gen CPU and two monster GPU's. His GPU's alone make up 65% of my total system cost...

    Finally, whats your budget?
Yeah, that wass why I was asking around if its worth it to go with SLI for Rome 2 alone. Short answer, it isnt. So I'm going with a single 780 and an OC'ed CPU. Might consider another vga when I BF4 is out in October.

I didnt mention budget since I'm not living in the US or anywhere you can relate your price to. 760 GTX here costs around $320, quite a rip-off.

780 won't disappoint if you have the cash for it...

Also I am not the only one shelling out advice so give your budget/currency location to better help the other contributors.

I am from the USA so I am familiar with prices here. I believe Splenyi is Australia. alQ is European. I am sure we have a Brit somewhere in here.

And yes, wherever you are a GTX 760 at $320 isn't exactly the deal it is here. Paid $250 for mine

I did consider 780 once, but 760 SLI is quite a deal even here.

Thank for the help. Btw I'm living in SEA, for various reasons I doubt my folks would come to twcenter to ask for hardware advice.

I was thiking if was possible to have laptop less than 1000 euros and i just found this clevo. I want to play rome 2 at 1920 resolution with high settings , médium to large unit sizes , will it be playable ? how many fps to expect when 20 x 20 battles? i know i could get a desktop with same benchmark for 700 euros . so 300 euros difference is not so much.

there was only one dude with SLI and it was too massive a Titan setup he got CPU bottleneck so I dont know if it helps with my case >.>

Hey all, in the Shogun 2 1080 benchmark I get 134 fps. I haven't tried the CPU one yet. In game with a 40 v 40 battle with 4xmsaa and all else ultra I get anywhere from 55-100 fps (depending on zoom level and size of melee of course).

    i5 4670k at 4.2
    2x GTX680 in SLI
this one is closest to mine.

Im intending to when i can, however during the week i am mostly using a work computer and not the system in question. Will see if i can find time this weekend for benchmark testing but was just looking for general thoughts in the meantime. Won't get much

I'm afraid its not possible sir. I'm out of town until next 3 weeks and the components I want might be out of stock when I get home, that s why I'm asking your opinions & experience.

Got nothing else to do atm so I can wait for my answer here while digging around the Net. Is it a problem if I'm bumping up my question at times? Shouldnt be too hard since I know my computer specs.

I'm going to build a new PC this month, this is what I'm thinking of getting:

    Intel Core i5-4670
    Asus H87-PRO ATX LGA1150
    Corsair Vengeance 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
    WD Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Asus GeForce GTX 660 2GB OR Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB

I'm not sure if it's worth spending the extra Ł50 and getting a 760? I'd like to play Rome II on High/Ultra at 1680x1050 and large unit sizes.

There is your benchmark comparison for the two cards. The increase in FPS won't be something incredibly noticeable but the 760 beats the 660 in practically every category and will run you about 25% better performance for Rome. Keep in mind these benchmarks are running in 1080P so expect higher FPS running at your resolution

Another 4Gb of RAM wouldn't hurt either, but the 760 will net you the highest performance increase in the end.

I just picked up these off of Newegg, because my graphics were lacking and my power supply was only a puny 400w:

    EVGA GTX 760 4GB
Rosewill Capstone 80plus Gold 750w power supply

PC already has 16 GB RAM, and an Intel Core i5-2500K Quad Core Processor

we cannot tell you about FPS as we still do not have proper information from CA. But your settings and unit size should be high / large fluently. regarding the price performance you are wrong. A PC for 1000 € will be FAR better.

O k thanks , if i want to put a a gtx 770m i have to chose a a CLEVO P170SM , but i will have to pay more 300 euros , i know the 770 m is 40% faster of a 765 m , but spending more 300 Euros is too much. The best was to put the 780 m , wich is 100 % faster to 765m , but i would have to spend more 600 euros . i know the cpu i7-4700 mq is faster thean i5 4670 , the weak point is the 765m . But for 1000 euros was the best laptop i found
