Shogun at ultra all maxed out with about 70 fps, Rome 2 > we do not have data meet tomorrow on the benchmark thread. I've heard the requirements are much higher than CA commited.

    Hey guys!

So I'm looking to upgrade the RAM on my Windows Vista Home premium 64 bit version, but I was looking at Crucial.com and used their scan system and it said the maximum amount of ram is 8gb, but when I looked around on other sites it said the max for Home Premium is 16gb?

Any way of looking up the limitation on my computer?

I know this is, but I needed a quick answer. If I can run Shogun 2 on medium/high specs, will I be able to play Rome II on low/ medium? Want to make sure before I buy. Please reply quickly.

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine on medium graphics on Rome if you play shogun on medium/high

Could you link me to the posts about Overclocking, It seems my 4670k will need a hefty OC to ultra the game but I know nothing about it. Cooling shouldn't be a problem.

    Hi Guys,

I am playing with the idea of putting together an i7 build and need your advice. The proposed components are:

Computer Case: Cooler Master HAF 922M/USB 3.0 ATX Mid Tower Case (Black)
    Power Supply: Thermaltake 450W PSU
Motherboard: Asus B85M-E Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 uATX
    DDR3 Memory : 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 Hyper-X
    Processor: Intel Core i7 4770K 3.5GHz Quad Core 8MB
CPU Cooling Fan : Original Factory Cooling Fan and Heatsink

Already owned are: monitor (1280*1024), 2 SSDs, DVD drives, keyboard, mouse, Win 7 64-bit.

I will be using the PC partly for normal office applications, but also for a certain amount of gaming (mostly strategy games).

In particular, I would like to run "Rome II: Total War" quite well

My questions are as follows. Your advice is much appreciated!

Will I be able to overclock this CPU on this motherboard?

Will I be able to overlock this CPU using the stock HSF? If so, what overclock might I expect?

Is DDR3-1600 (Hyper-X) still considered decent RAM for gaming?

Won't there be a clash between the mobo onboard video and the CPU integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4600)? How can I resolve that clash?

Which will be better: the onboard mobo video or the integrated CPU graphics?

    I have a GeForce GTS 450 (Graphics clock: 783MHz, Processor clock: 1566MHz, Memory clock: 1804MHz, GDDR5, 1GB video RAM).
Will the integrated CPU graphics be better than this video card?

    Can I run a PCIe-2.0 video card in a PCIe-3.0 slot at x16?

I think that's all my questions for now. Thanks for your time!

pentium 4? that is old. I think u are require at least a dual core. Rome amd and medieval are a different engine, empire and so on uses the warscape engine taht requires dual cores I believe.

Oh we'll then! I know this has nothing to do with Rome but I can run Skyrim on medium though? That requires dual processor, I guess I'm gonna have to give it a miss anyhow!

alot of times u can run games even if u are under the min req. Min req means game developers wont take responsability for the stability of the game. You probably can run it at very low settings with very low fps. Gl
