Hey guys, I have : An I3 3.0Ghz Processor, 4GB Ram, GeForce GT220 and Windows 7 64bit. I'm assuming I can run the game pretty decently on low-medium, but I'm looking to invest in a new graphics card (after I buy a car and book a flight to Germany), what's the best Nvidia graphics card I can get for less than €150 roughly?
    Thanks!

This GTX 660 for right at €150 will do you nicely for Rome 2.

    What is your PSU?

Whoops, you're in Euros not Pounds...

Yep, I miss the Maltese Lira and all, but we're using Euros for now €180 would be a bit pricey, but if I'm going to invest I'm going to invest properly so I don't have to change GPUs every two years or so So I might go for that, depends on how much money is left after I buy some things I need at the moment (like the car, insurance for it etc).

My PSU is ATX-500 or something, it has 500W and 230V.

Go with the 660 then mate if you can squeeze out a few more Euros, it'll run your games great now and will not need upgrading anytime soon. Check your local retailers for prices. I'd recommend either Gigabyte or EVGA for your brand model to choose from as both come with a solid standard warranty coverage.

Your PSU will be fine with that new GPU also, assuming its not old (4 years or more I'd say).

    Thanks guys.
I won't really bother with local retailers because PC stuff is very overpriced in Malta (€200 minimum for a 660), it would be much more worth it for me to buy it online and pay shipping fees rather than buy a graphics card from a Maltese retailer
Yeah I bought the PSU a few months ago, so I guess I should be fine with that.

I don't have Shogun 2. And I looked up a 1024 MB DirectX 11 Compatible Graphics card and found this:
    http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-E...le+video+cards

It seems as the HDD and memory are fine for the game to work. Also my processor is not the minimum requirement either. I have a good feeling the game would work fine, but like I said, I may need to get a graphics card. If I can get the one above, that would be ideal.
    Any idea on mine?

I assume this is your PC?

Biggest issues I see right off the bat is your 180W PSU which is very limiting. And the small case for adding a GPU.

    Yeah that's it.
Why is PSU so important with Rome 2? Also how would the graphics hold up currently? All I care right now is that it is playable. If I do need to upgrade will this suffice?

I'd hand you my nvidia 9600GT for free if you were in Greece. Anyway, each graphics card has some minimum power requirements which you can find in their manufacturer site. If you're planning to get a new graphics card, it might require a better PSU. They are not costly though.

The power supply isn't so much important to Rome 2 as it it running your rig. You need a minimum wattage to run you computer functionally. 180 watts is not much. Therefore adding a GPU with require more watts to allow your computer to stay running. 180 watts is very limiting in terms of what you can power up to that.

Short answer is you can play Rome 2. On low settings.

Power supply is not important for rome 2 but for a good graphics card. And this is again needed with Rome 2

A 500 watts psu from a brand like Seasonic, be quiet, corsair is sufficient enough for all cards

@blue From what I've heard today: no. But we need to wait till release as CA is still hiding essential information.

Ewww, doesn't sound good... So did we upgrade for nothing?
I knew I should have waited for a few months.
