No thanks/don't really mind.
if i can get better graphics if i lower res i probably will tho...
yes but only with low-mid settings. Best effort is the auto configuration that TW does on the first start. Choose DX11 to improve performance.

Rome II has great dual screen potential, it's easy to imagine having the tactical map in one screen and the main battle screen on the other. CA did say they were considering this at one point, has there been any news on this? It just seems like such a simple but great addition to the game.
Also, previous Total War games have had an issue where the game doesn't lock the cursor to the screen the game in on, hopefully this has been fixed.
As far as I know there won't be.
Nope they have said not happening. Wish they would change it though
My turn
CPU = Intel core 2 Extreme QX9650 - runs at 3.6 GHz
GPU = Radeon HD5870
Mb = Gigbyte EP45-EXTREME
Mem = 4 gig
HD = SSD for OS + a normal one for data
Screen = 1680*1050
hey guys, iam running a q 9550 @ 4 ghz with a HD7850 and 4gb ram
what kind of performance could i expect?
i dont have shogun2 and i dint find a comparable processor in the list
greetings
Tomorrow I'm expecting the arrival of my new Gigabyte GTX 760 2GB (rev2.0) graphics card. You can imagine what a huge upgrade this is from my nVidia 9600GT!

"Steps to be taken in case Russia should be forced out of war considered. Various movements [of ] troops to and from different fronts necessary to meeting possible contingencies discussed. Conference also weighed political, economic, and moral effect both upon Central and Allied powers under most unfavorable aspect from Allied point of view. General conclusions reached were necessity for adoption of purely defensive attitude on all secondary fronts and withdrawing surplus troops for duty on western front. By thus strengthening western front [those attending] believed Allies could hold until American forces arrive in numbers sufficient to gain ascendancy."

So, my question is.. how much RAM does this game actually use?
I'm currently using 4 gigs worth of this old stuff - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145182
I don't really know anything about RAM, I don't know how much it has advanced or how out of date that is. Is 4 gigs going to be enough for this? This is my current motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157384
Without mercy. Without compassion. Without remorse.
All war depends upon it.
This is the RAM I'm currently using http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145182
It's old, but as far as I know RAM hasn't advanced too much since I bought it.
Just bought a new CPU desktop from Office Max for a very good price of $349. I have yet to open it after two days after getting it because I want to make sure it will work for Rome 2. Here are the specs:
Lenovo H520s Desktop
HDD 1TB
Memory 4GB
Windows 8
Intel 2.9 Ghz
Graphics Engine Intel HD Graphics
Everything is in between the minimum and recommended system requirements, but it looks like I will need to have a better graphics card installed if I want to run the game on high settings. Playable or not?
I wouldn't expect wonders, might be playable at lowest settings, but the FPS will be rather bad.
The graphics card in there is just the GPU that's integrated in the CPU, therefore it's rather weak. If you upgrade that, you'll likely also need a stronger PSU.
But it might not even be worth it with the CPU, not sure which one it is exactly. (When I check the Lenovo site, their H520s desktop models all have different CPU stats than what you mention.)
If you have Shogun 2, you could run the benchmark following this thread.

I don't have Shogun 2. And I looked up a 1024 MB DirectX 11 Compatible Graphics card and found this:

It seems as the HDD and memory are fine for the game to work. Also my processor is not the minimum requirement either. I have a good feeling the game would work fine, but like I said, I may need to get a graphics card. If I can get the one above, that would be ideal.
