1080p monitor? Huge battles with a few stacks will definitely stress it much further, and even more so if you've got the unit size on ultra (which I don't do anyway, I hate big units).

Yes, GPU affects all graphical settings, CPU is for unit sizes, animations and shadows too (GPU and CPU work together with shadows, but it's more work on the GPU). RAM has nothing major to do with performance, as long as you have at least 4GB of DDR3, you're all set

If you want to do that, just upgrade to the "Great" tier it's much better value because it's got current gen hardward

    Yup @1080p

I don't expect to do a whole lot of 40v40 anyways (or even 20v20).

i have just upgraded my PC with GTX760 (asus), previously i had GTX560TI. In shogun2 benchmark (DX11) i got 75+ FPS, so hopefully it will be enough for standard play in Rome 2

    Hello!
I was asked by a friend to find him a good gaming PC for under $1200 AUD. He has no components, no screen, no keyboard. To top all of this off, he needs to get the computer through a specific website as he has a gift card.
    Here is the website: http://www.mwave.com.au/custombuild

If someone could do me a massive helping hand and customise one of those PC's and then take a screen shot of the final components check list, that would be unreal!!
Feel free to PM me or reply onto this tread. Thanks so much

Ok, I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new Clevo laptop through PC Specialist. I'm still torn between the Vortex and the Optimus. Both specs are the same (Processor: i7400QM, RAM: 8GB) apart from the 765m vs 770m graphics card. The price difference is Ł300 which I can just about afford if I really stretch but it's really not ideal for me.

Basically, do we reckon the 765 will handle rome fine enough or should I invest the extra (300 quid!) for the 770?

I would save that money mate The 770m seems to be only 10% better

thanks so much! If you could just use parts from that website it would be great! So click on one of the pre-made custom build and it allows you to completely overhaul the components.

    thanks again! +rep

Amazingly smooth. You will be able to run max settings/huge unit sizes with zero lag or performance hiccups.

Max it out, smooth as a baby's bottom

Try overclocking though, it's the reason you payed for a K series CPU.

Alot! Since I can't build my own pc (this webshob gamepc.nl builds it for me). Cost me €1197 (which is probably the cheapest way off getting a really good and finished computer over here). The warranty and windows 7 do cost a lot.. but I don't have a windows 7 cd over here so had to include it.

I think I could've saved around 100-200 euro's if I build it myself. If you're a computer noob like me and live in the Netherlands or Belgium I highly recommend this website.

    Well that sure is expensive!

Warranty is a given with any individual product you purchase from a producer, so it's kind of wrong for them to charge you extra for it...

I think you probably could have saved 200 or over doing it yourself, but fear not, you have a very powerful machine in your hands now

No I got extra warranty. The normal and free warranty is 2 years on everything. But I'd have to bring or send the computer to them which would cost me alot. So I bought an extra year of warranty with pick up and return.

There was no other way for me to get a desktop this good for this price build by a specialist game pc shop. Like I said.. I can't build a pc myself and don't know anybody that could (even if I did.. that could cause extra risks). Now I'll have everything I need with good warranty and I'll be able to use it immediatly. Just have to put the power on for the screen and pc and I'll be ready to go! Both the mouse and keyboard work with a usb so that's handy aswell.
