Where do you install the third age total war mod? The Medieval II folder or the mod folder?

^ up there is what I am asking. I have decided to install it and retry to install it again. Also, where do you install the patches to?

install the three TATW.exe's (3.0 , 3.1 patch and 3.2 patch) all directed to the med 2 folder iirc if you add mod to the end of it it messes up produces another mod folder inside your mod folder with the relevant files just sitting there useless

no that's internet short hand IIRC = if i remember correctly

it refers to me describing the problem experienced if you point the installers to the mod folder

just aim it at the med folder and you will be grand (unless your a steam user)

So can you give me the instructions after you install into the Med II folder? Do you cut it into the mods folder and do it all there or??? I wish they could make it more simpler...sorry If I am asking to much. Just want this done...

just noticed i was talking to you in both threads


if you have steam people find this easier :

1. Install all parts of TATW (3.0 Part 1, 3.0 Part 2, 3.1, and 3.2) to the desktop. (so like to {user}/Documents just so long as its the same place}
2. Then move the Third Age folder to the Steam/Steamapps/Common/Medieval II Total War/mods folder.
3. Then rename one of the Kingdoms campaigns to something else, like change americas to americas2.
4. Then rename the Third Age folder to americas. Finally, select the americas campaign from the Steam menu and the mod should launch.


if non steam :

1. Install all parts of TATW (3.0 Part 1, 3.0 Part 2, 3.1, and 3.2) to the med 2 folder so the destination should end something like "program files/SEGA/Medieval II total war /" after each installation you should be good to go

for steam you install all patches to the folder located on your desktop before moving it to steam

for non-steam yes patches go to the folder medieval II totalwar/

once you run the installers for third age total war the last thing must always be

\Medieval II Total War


it will place itself in the mod folder automatically

steam
run the installers it doesn't matter were they go as long as its to the same folder then you have a complete Third_Age_3 folder
you then proceed to step 2 of the steam install instruction as listed in post 8
