Something which it has been far to long since I have felt towards someone ( in the romantic sense).

Still what 'is' it?

That warm fuzzy feeling you get when you think about someone you love.

I always wondered whether there was a defined difference between, 'in love' and, 'love.'
As for love, how can you explain it? Emotions and feelings that one can have are countless and undescribable. Love, is a general word for the many feelings of unconditional, emotional attraction and connection towards somebody.
I wish there was a way to describe being, 'in love'. I wouldn't know, or would I. Everyone sais, once you are in love, you know. I don't 'know'. So there is no way to describe being in love, unless you are.
Love will never just come to you. Everyone has love in them, and it is up to you to extract if from them.
True love does not come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.

When someone is "in love" is one who you are willing to marry and are basicly in a relationship, whilst someone you love could be someone you do not have those particular emotions to. Understand?Originally Posted by katrina

I believe that love exists when you are willing to give up your life to save the object of your strong affection.
If we're talking about "love" between a man and a woman then it is one of two things:Originally Posted by Chandrashekar Azad

The sad, sad truth. Most often times, many people I love, do not love me back. However, I have unconditional love that goes out to just about everyone, because I have the quality to not judge and to accept others for who they are. Once you learn to live your life that way, and to love all those around you, the love is returned in a greater force than given. Many people lack that realization.
@RushLimbaugh- Love is not overrated. I find it hard to beleive that anyone who has experienced real love can find it overrated. Is that humane?
What is love but a word and an emotion? I find it hard to understand illogical things like this. You could say lust is love and vis versa, but there all just words linked to the emotions by human emotion. I see the reason why most people, yourself included choose to seperate sexual "love" from "emotional" love. I suppose it makes more sense scientificaly too, as the two emotions are brought about by seperate catalists and are meant for completely different purposes. I.e "lust" to reproduce faster and "emotional love" to protect others that are important to your survival. Of course it's much more complex than that but thats just human nature for you.I disagree. I beleive lust would be the word you are looking for when describing sexual attraction. Love goes beyond that.![]()
I suppose in the emotional sense for me, love is a connection between me and somebody else that is emotionaly significant enough for us to have our whole life revolve around one-another.![]()
But love goes beyond the need to protect people important to your survival. For instance, I love God, but I think that (if you were an atheist) you could make the case that He is not important to my physical survival on earth. I also love, in a different sense, American football. It's not fundamental to my survival, but I have an emotional attachment to it, and I would be very sad if it just up and left one day.Originally Posted by Vanquisher
On the contrary, there are very plausible reasons for you loving a "God", and loving "football", i'm not saying that these emotions are restricted to survival at all, the reason why you beleive in a god etc is it gives you a sense of "purpose," (I may be wrong). In fact it could be for many reasons. As far as I can see, you are just gathering up emotions and calling them "love."But love goes beyond the need to protect people important to your survival. Ive heard it here often that nore people have been killed in the name of god than anything but actually more people have been killed in the name of love. Love of a woman . love of god, love of country love of all sorts of idealsHow can you say this? Love is what binds this world togehter.
I have nothing against the womens movement. Especially when Im walking behind it.
when you just feel like half a man without her. And complete when with her. That is love. At least that is what i feel about my wife...![]()
Something you do in bed or on your fridge with your girlfriend/boyfriend?
Seriously, love is just a word made up by the human mind to describe an emotion. The thing is the emotion can manifest in many ways, from sexual attractivness, to the willingness to give your life for another
