Default launcher: You don't have Roma Surrectum II installed in the correct folder.

    [Solved]
I received the following messages when I launched the game:
You don't have Roma Surrectum II installed in the correct folder.
    Engine: RomeTW.exe, Faction campaign: -mod:play_rome.
    In total: 'ROMEtw.exe-mod:play_rome -show_err -nm -movie_cam'
    op: Windows 7
    RTW 1.5
not using steam for this game CD only but have steam installed
    C:Games\Roma Surrectum II
Didn't know there were launcher options,
just pressed play roma surrectum II after having chose rome faction

On relaunching the game I received this message and the launcher failed to start:

    Solution:
It seems that I had copied the RTW folder into the Roma Surrectum folder, rather than just the contents.

A sticky on launcher use would be useful!
    Found it:

Still dont't quite understand the 1. Click on the arrow on the right to choose from the scroll list which campaign to launch. What was Capua that first appeared this seems to choose factions rather than campaigns, or is this just a semantic problem?

Launcher use is covered by the install instructions (here). The problem with the stickies is that there would be more of them than can fit onto one or two web pages of threads so they get compressed.

Well, as the game is mod-foldered by faction (so each campaign could be set up specifically for that faction) when you select Capua you're actually selecting the Capuan campaign.

An example of faction specific campaign changes is the different starting regions for the Boii - they can hold a region in North-East Italy.
