    Default Good/evil/diplomacy

    So hi. I looked and looked but couldn't find what I was looking for. Is there a way or a submod, to 'unlock' the diplomacy in TATW? I mean so that factions start off neutral, there is none of good/evil division, and I can actually use diplomacy; for example ally with Mordor against Harad etc.

    In the "desc_strat.txt"-file, you scroll down or search "start of diplomacy section". All those numbers you set to 0. Then all is neutral to each other. If you set a positive number, you a better friends with that faction and vice versa.

    Then you remove all those "war_with" and "allied with". Remove it all except the very last line, that is the rebels. You can actually choose to delete that aswell.

    After you have done that, you should have it the way you want it.

    Just one thing more; after you have done the changes and saved the file*, you must open data/world/maps/base and there delete map.rwm before restarting the game and start a new campaign


    *suggest you back it up before editing anything if you want it as normal later on

    If I set realtion standings with slaves to 0.0 then AI won't expand into unowned territories, aight? I should leave that at -1, probably.

    That is only needed when a file in the "base" folder has changed. e.g. descr_regions.txt, not descr_strat.txt.

    As long as they start in war then their starting relationship will dive anyway, and the AI factions will want to grab them because of the war, so do not think it matter; but therefore you can simply leave it as it is yes

    So, there are no wars in the beginning AND everybody's neutral in relation to everyone, now a question: will any wars commence ever?

    No doubt hehe
    And remember that factions with the same religion are more likley to ally so do not be too surprised if that (and the Invasions) will cause TATW-ish situations in some campaigns

    Yeah, I know, though I have nothing against that, I just want to be able to, you know, ally with OOMM for a few turns to whoop the elves and such. Thanks for all the help.
