Default Starfall, Seat of house Dayne

    Starfall

    House Dayne

    The Dusk Knight
Daemon Dayne, 56 "The Dusk Knight" 6'1

Daemon is tired of waiting. Though he has listened to his older brothers caution, he has grown weary of sitting in Starfall doing nothing. When word reached them of the approaching reevers he took to his brother suing for blood. He is an overzealous man, easily angered but very hearty and obnoxious when merry. Skills:18
    5: Duels
    5: Field Battles
    4: Sea Captain
    4: Seige

    The Sword of the Morning
Greylock Dayne, 43 "The Sword of the Morning" 5'11

Greylock is the ever dutiful son of Daeron. Hes a little of his father, patient, quiet, observant, and a little of his Uncle, strong, fit, quick. He has worked to be the true heir of House Dayne and knows how to serve both it and Dorne.
    Skills: 14
    4: Duels
    4: Field Battle
    2: Sea Captain
    4: Loyalty

    The Purple Dawn
Edric Dayne, 36 "The Purple Dawn" 5'10

Edric is a fun loving, intelligent, personable, and politically savvy. Edric is the foremost expert of forbearance. He has held himself back within the walls of Starfall since the hostilities begin. Not as great at swordplay as his brother Greylock, he is however an apt commander and loves the Realm of politics. He loves all challenges, mostly of the mind.
    Skills:14
    3: Duels
    3: Field Battles
    3: Income
    3: Loyalty

    Minor Characters
    Minor Characters
Ashara Dayne, 31- Beautiful, charming, witty, loyal. She is a true lady from one of the most famed houses in Dorne. She has been relatively tucked away in Starfall for much of her life, so has grown comfortable in her surroundings. She is an innocent soul and Daeron's prize alliance negotiation token.
Lenora Dayne 29- Lenora is free spirited, and thought to be untameable. She is not as beautiful as her sister Ashara, but not lacking in beauty either. Lenora unlike her sister has traveled throughout Dorne, usually accompanied by her cousin Lyoner. She is a well established Lady of Dorne having met with most of its lords where, unlike the rest of the Kingdom, her freedom and personality is respected.
Daevon Dayne, 26- Apprentice to his older brother Greylock, he shuffles around Starfall reading books and histories in effort to be as smart as Edric. Daevon unlike his brothers however has black hair, a topic of much discussion between many of the Knights and noblemen around Starfall. He is a jovial boy, not prone to the serious nature of his father or the anger of his uncle.

Hathyn Dayne 35- Hathyn Dayne, like Greylock, is HIS fathers son. With an inclination toward violence and the physical ability to use it, he is kept close at bay by his cousin Greylock, who is one of the few people Hathyn fears or respects. Hathyn is a darker version of his father, with the unfortunate downside of a lesser mental capability and far more severe.
Ulrick Dayne 34- Ulrick squired at Sunspear after his cousin Greylock. He learned to be a man far away from his father and thus never acquired his anger. When angered Ulrick is not the lightest of foes, but it is something he has tried to steer clear from. Unlike few of his family, he has a fond respect for the sea and has spent some time at it, where he learned to be a proper captain.
Lyoner Sands, 31- Daemons bastard, he is much the free spirit his cousin Lenora is, and spends much time wih her in her travels, much to the wroth of his father. Lyoner is a man unlike most of his family, he rarely takes anything seriously. He rides with Lenora and their friends out and about Dorne, speaking with Lords and Ladies. Lyoner is clearly his fathers son in build however, and that has given rise to much attention from Lady's far and wide.
Rowena Sands, 28- Rowena is a dangerous woman. Her father would hear none of the fact that she is a woman, often stating "Women pay dearest in war. Will your let your sex parts make you weak and vulnerable?" Her catch 22 is that she is actually a quite lovely girl, just a bit more pretty than homely. Rowena uses that to her advantage, though when she does she morally despises the men she uses it on. Her take?Just because I am a woman does not mean I am helpless or useless. To think so is to forfeit your life in my eyes.

After riding south with his companions, Brandon Bolton shows up at Starfall together with twenty retainers. Their heads are wrapped in white cloth but one banner his held high, a pink one with a highly detailed flayed man. He approaches the gates with two banner holders leaving the others at distance.
"I Brandon of the Dreadfort! I wish to speak with House Dayne!

The Gates of Starfall are high, the walls strong. It is here, that House Dayne has maintained a long history, ruling over the Torrentine. A retinue of 15 men ride out to the party after several minutes, interested at their supposed Northern visitors. The man at their head wheres no armor like the rest, instead, only a purple tunic to match his eyes. His Greatsword hanging losely on his back, the large man looks as if he may be able to wield it with one hand. He frowns at the Bolton and addresses him,
Your name is Brandon, but I do not know Your standing in House Bolton. It has been a long time since the North has mattered to us crude Dornishmen. What is your standing and purpose?

OOC-Sorry sorry sorry i dont know how i missed this!

"I am the future lord of the Dreadfort, son of the Dreadlord Martyn Bolton." The northman responded, slightly dissapointed that the southerners had never heard of him.
Do I have entry to your keep?"

    The large man snorted,
The Flayer has a son. This manner does not wash away from one generation to another. His destructive manner is hidden somewhere...whether he knows of it or not.

I am Daemon Dayne, brother of Lord Daevon Dayne. I am the Knight of Dusk. I allow your admittance into the Castle and I will bring you to my nephew, the acting Lord of Starfall, Ser Edric Dayne.
Daemon ended rearing his horse and riding back to Starfall with the party. He marchs through the courtyard to the Hall of Stars, where Edric sits awaiting his guests. Edric had time to prepare, he had his knight retinue, the Silverstar Knights stationed around the room 15 in all. Little Daevon Dayne stood next to Edric apprehensive of the meeting. It was his first time meeting a northerner. So they waited in anticipation, only 5 guests would be allowed in, to gauge the meaning of this meeting.

Crazy dornishmen. How can a sane man live in this infernal HEAT.
"The acting lord? What has become of lord Daeron?" Bran asked the Dusk knight when he was being lead into the keep. One of the other northerners was humming "The Dornishman's wife"

Daemon looked at the man with disdain for a moment, the he heard the humming. His neck tensed then relaxed, he looked at the Bolton and smiled, My dear Brother is in Sunspear currently, his son is acting in his place. My, that is a good renderation of a classic. Please, come forth you who hums so talented.
Daeron will not be happy when he hears of this.

"Hm?", The northman stopped. He looked around and noticed the awkward tension that was built around him.
You stupid son of a whore, Bolton thought. He took the mans arm and pulled him closer to Daemon.
"Yea, What is it?" The man asked

Daemon smiled and laughed. It wasn't a hearty laugh however, it was cold, detached. He looked at the Northerner, with his deep purple eyes,
The only reason you are still alive is because I will not risk upsetting whatever your Lord is here for. Your idiocy shows me that you would be cheap to replace however.... So I'll tell you what, I hear so much as a sigh from you during your remaining time in Starfall, I will rip your throat out from your mouth you filthy peasant. Then I will pay your Lord for his troubles. You owe your life to your Lords standing. One word peasant, one sigh, and that all changes.

Daevon said never blinking, never flinching. His purple tunic flapping with the wind, his hands, lax at his side.
Please you insolent pup, give me a reason.

The man backed off, looking for support from his master, who only responded with a cold sigh. And it eventually came to him that he will die anyway, be it by the flaying knife or by having his throat ripped out. Then he smiled.
You fool, don't do it, don't do it, don't do it, DO NOT DO....
And the man started to sing.
"But what does it matter, for all men must die, and i've tasted the Dornishman's wife!"
I do hope the Stranger rapes you in hell. Was Bolton's first thought.

OOC- I will rep you due to the awesomeness of that RP lol. I'll also allow you to decide if he dies or if you wanna make a roll outta this

This time, Daemon did not laugh. He took two large steps forward. With the second step, Daemon drew his greatsword and slashed downward starting at the mans face to his genitals.
This will make my day worth while.

OOC: Kill him, never liked bards anyway. But thank you.

Well, this man keeps his word, and i am not cleaning that up.
Bran and the other northerners jumped away at the sight of a sword slashing down. And in a moment their swords were in the air, pointing at the Dusk knight.
"Hold, hold, hold. I want to come out of here alive.", He jumped in between his three loyal subjects and the bloodied knight.
    "He killed Hugor!"
"Hugor made a fool out of himself, he disrespected the Dornishmen and..."
"That rotten murderer broke the laws of hospitality." Another grunted.
"We haven't eaten their bread and salt yet, so put the swords down or i'll make you beg ser Daemon to do the same thing to you.", Bran responded sternly. And the men walked out, leaving their master alone with the Dornishmen.

Noone would have left this place alive. This Bolton is not as stupid as his men, that's good. His choice of men however...
The laws of hospitality do not extend to those outside our walls or without our food or drink as your Lord says. I warned the man as you all saw, the fool just didn't know how to keep his mouth shut. Here's a few dragons for the fools life. Shall we continue to the Keep?

Bolton nodded and took the money. And entered together with Daemon Dayne the main hall of Starfall. His nerves were on an edge from what he have seen, Hugor had only been humming that song since he visited a tavern in the Reach and since then he'd sung it everyday when they were in Dorne. The north will remember this. Hugor is the son of a bannerman to my father, he was heir to a village somewhere around the Dreadfort lands. As great a fool as his witless father.

When they arrived at the Hall, Edric was sitting atop his fathers seat. He got off and moved to welcome his new guest. Welcome to Starfall, Young Master Bolton. Uncle, word reached my ears of a slaying of one of the Bolton men. I do not presume to be your better but I do presume to be the Keeper of this Land while my father is gone, what happened? Edric asked politely to his uncle. You are my uncle but gods be damned Daemon that temper of yours will get the better of us as a house if you don't cool it.

After being told the events, Edric nodded,
So he was warned? Can you tell me Master Bolton, how do you feel about this, be honest, my father keeps no liars in these halls and I would suffer none in his absence. While waiting for his response he calls over to a serving girl, Food and wine for us please. When you are done, see to it that the Bolton men are fed an have drink. We need to make our guests comfortable.

"I thank you for welcoming me to Starfall and feeding me and my men." He accepted a cup of dornish wine.
"The matter of Hugor Cordall, I am deeply ashamed by his lack of respect and how he portrays the north. I fear he has been spending too much time with reachmen. As you know, he was humming on the song, "The Dornishman's Wife", and when caught with his crime, he was first warned by your good uncle, and then when he saw no support would be given from my side..."
As well as knowing that he would die before the sun went down.
"He lost control of his senses and... Well, Daemon killed him, as much as he killed himself almost."
Humming "the Dornishman's wife" in Dorne, why don't you ask the Lannisters if they **** gold while you're at it...
He couldn't, because his intestines were spilling out on the floor together with breakfast.

Edric listened intently to the Bolton and finally smiled, So long as you do not feel sleighted Master Bolton. Any way, now that the exciting stuff is out of the way, what have you come this far south for?

"I have been travelling around in the south from some time now, and i wonder if you are interested in building ships?", Bolton responded to the Dornishman.

Look at our position. At the heart of the Torrentine. Ships are something necessary for defense, it is why pirate ships of late do not get to Oldtown, to The Arbor
Of course, the worth of a good naval fleet is known by little more than a Fortress that sits at the heart of a River. Especially one as mighty as the Torrent. We have a good amount of ships now, but we could do for better quality, who couldn't? Why do you ask Lord Bolton?

"In the North we don't have knights riding mighty steeds in the shining sun, breaking lances with evil and saving fair maidens from outlaws and dragons. We don't need that, except the mighty steeds. You see where i am getting at?" Bolton hands went out as if he wanted to embrace the Purple Dawn.
