Ancient wonders.

Has there been any word on wonders in RTW2? i loved time in RTW, it would be nice to see them again. hopefully still functional.

Wonders are not the most important issue in this game, so I don't think that someone will have mentioned about it till game debut. Maybe in dev diary you will hear something about it, but I am not expect of it.

Wonders have basicly been confirmed already, just look at the Rome faction preveiw, in the background you can see the Flavian Amphitheature, and the Pantheon. Plus if their doing customized capital cities then their going to have to add in the Parthenon aswell. Hopefuly they go all they way and do stuff like the Hanging Gardens at Babylonia, the Temple of Solomen at Jerusalem, and the Temple of Zues at Pergamon.

I'd love to see the ancient wonders come back. Just imagine commencing a battle near the Statue of Zeus, and seeing it up close in the battle map. That would be epic! Yum yum yum

Thanks for your fabulous contribution to this thread.

I would like to see a return of wonders. Building them yourself would be a nice bonus as well.

What do you exactly mean by this? Like an iceni player could build the great pyramids in the middle of Britannia? If so.....that would be weird. I dont think there would be buildable wonders for this game because if they would pick the same time frame from RTW1, then there would be nothing to build because all the wonders have already been made.

they should be like they are in RS2 where you have to build them and the faction that does is remembered almost as much as the one that controls them

Perhaps they could expand the wonder system, perhaps have a sub-wonder set of (in)famous buildings. there are alot of options available. it might not be critical, but it still ads flavor to the game.

I cant vote yet but I say "Wonders, but with another different types of bonus". Wonders can also bring trade because as an attraction, they could bring more revenue..hmm.
