    Default Stances even for fleet!

We know tactical stances/postures are finally expected in Rome II. I think even fleets should have stances expecially now we also know the "sea regions" system is coming back (which can be a good idea afterall) It would be silly imho that every time my fleet reach a zone occupied by an enemy fleet a batte will always take place (still no radars guys )

On the contrary, 2 fleets with "defensive" posture could have just 25% chance to engage, 100% if they both have "aggressive" stance and so on...

Sorry, I think that's stupid. You are fighting to control the sea. You have to fight. Basically what you're suggesting is that there should be a chance for the AI or player to slip his invasion fleet past the enemy fleet.

No. I I had a fleet with minor forces for example and I want to avoid battle if a major enemy fleet is close. Maybe I want to use my fleet just to ride enemy trade route. I think it's logical and historical. It's like giving a certain behaviour to my admirals depending on their force. "Fighting to control the sea" is a bit semplicistic, it's not paper sea-fight m8...

In that case you can go to harbor or you can retreat.

But what you're suggesting, about percentage of probability of intercept will in effect mean that you can slip past a blockading enemy fleet that is trying to intercept your invasion fleet. It boils down to this - despite the limited sea routes(coastal waters mostly), despite the fact that a reconnaissance vessel could easily detect a big fleet and report its location, speed and direction to the friendlies, who then can organize a proper welcoming committee, you would like to be able to sneak in an invading army. I don't think I recall this happening in an event of a sizeable enemy fleet.
