Thought the show looked interesting so I decided to check it out on IMDB. The first two full episodes were on IMDB believe it or not, so I watched them both. I am really liking it. Definitely be adding it to my "must watch" show list.

Great show so far.
The scene where they wanted a threesome and when floki snatched the cross to cause a fight really made my laugh

Nah. Only the Islanders speak something akin to Norse. For us its like Italians and Latin.
So, Episode 3 aired on the History Channel already?
We (I at least) can understand many things as long as they don't speak to quickly or with to advanced words. Which we often have German and Latin loanwords for.
Not quite that much. This is a semi-bad example, but still:

(Mind that Norwegian vary a lot in different places)

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Starting to feel great animosity for 'Svein' (Earl Haraldson's right hand man)... Horrible little toad..
It seemed realistic, between a band of trained warriors just ready for a fight, and a bunch of militia, anxious and uncomfortable, so easy prey without coordination.
Eats, shoots, and leaves.
I loved the build up to that first little battle, as Hailie said, Awkward.
That Earl Haraldson is a total douche though. Ragnar is going to build his popularity and overthrow him on return from the next raid, I'm sure. A Norse Jarl is supposed to be generous to his men. Not greedy and selfish.
A combination of paranoia and conniving wife. He's a clever inclusion as the bad guy otherwise it could be difficult portraying Rangar and his warband as heroic. But he also has room for redemption (though not much) because they can blame the wife for his misdeeds. It'll be interesting to see how they deal with him.
Ragnar has that underlying humour that makes everything just a little bit funny (reminds me of Gannicus)..
Leave this page or double post.. Gahhhh .....
Extended trailer for the series, looks like some pretty full on stuff coming up..
