    Default Character recording

Who would like character timelines that you can check during the campaign (or in the worst case at the end of the campaign)?
This would contain basic information, like:
    - Fall, 500 AUC - Cnaeus Anicius Strabo reached Hercynia.
    - Winter, 501 AUC - Cnaeus Anicius Strabo returned to Roma.
    - Spring, 501 AUC - Cnaeus Anicius Strabo married Claudia.
    - Fall, 500 AUC - Cnaeus Anicius Strabo reached Hercynia.
    - Fall, 504 AUC - Cnaeus Anicius Strabo sieged Casurgis.
    - Winter, 508 AUC - Cnaeus Anicius Strabo defeated Adalbhert, the Weak in Casurgis.
Some other games have this feature in a way or another and I always enjoyed reading it (I remember in Warlords: BattleCry III the character reports could get really long after some time). But I also know most people wouldn't bother to read it at all.
    What do you think?

It would be a cool option. I probably wouldn't read through it myself too often, except to look for certain favorite characters.

I'd say it's something they don't need to implement. But if it's just a textual record of character actions it might not be hard to create in terms of code.

Not really that interested, if I think someone's done something interesting to look up, I usually just remember it. Still, I can see why it could be helpful!
If you rep me, leave your name. I'll look more kindly on your future transgressions.

Sure, I wouldn't mind seeing this implemented. It'd be cool to go back and read your history.

It would definitely improve the bond between players and characters, which was a bit weakened in S2.

Really? For me, the way generals leveled up in Shogun 2 made me more attached to them.

I think it might be an interesting adjunct to AARs. In fact, if that were implemented for armies, it would make doing AARs that much easier.

For me, it made it just another generic general. Did your favourite die? Get another, give him the same (usually the most useful) skills and he! New favourite!

It worked differently for me, but fair enough. How did that make you less attached to the generals, though?

Generals felt no longer unique. There were no random traits (actually, there was, but not much and obtaining them was hard) and the skill tree wasn't reallistic. It's weird that, when a general dies, a unit can no longer use a certain skill (I haven't actually tested this, but it seemed to be so). It's weird that a general has influence on the rate of bushido art mastering, where ever he is. And I can't imagine that a general takes time to speak with civilians to turn them to his religion.

Would be great, but with 1 turn = 1 year we could sadly forget any ideas bond with characters as they simply die like flies.

1 year per turn? Do we have verification of that?

This is an excellent idea. I love to RP my campaigns, and this way, if I take a long break from playing the game, and then come back, I can remember why I liked certain characters, and why I didn't like others.

Would be a nice little feature. Can't see many people using it more than just checking it out, but it would help with AARs.

Little things like this make games classics. I endorse this.
