Weird river crossing

So im playing and i find this spot that can be crossed by armies is this right or a glitch.

That is correct and intentional. It's there so the AI can actually do things, otherwise the AI just twiddles its thumbs and does almost nothing. If you want to restrict access, just park a short stack of ships in one of the tiles that make up the crossing so the AI can't march their infantry through.
