Default Rome Total War Keeps Crashing

I've reinstalled, a dozen times and nothing works. I get into a game, play it for a bit, and bam..in the middle of the battle around the end it just crashes for no reason. Is it because i'm using the Rebels as a faction..? Or is there something else i'm not aware of..I've used the Belle's Map pack forever and this just started one day..randomly

Are you actually playing as the rebels?

If you are I'd suggest trying another faction and seeing if the game stabilizes.

You've not posted any technical details about your PC/Laptop or your install - so it's anyone's guess.

I'm fairly sure that if you try and play the rebels the game will crash (or was it if you played SPQR/Senate)......

Sorry for my english if its bad, i'm full Irish so your lucky im helping an Englishman, xD. All you have to do is go to your rome total war directory, create a new folder and name it "Corrupt Files, don't use" Drag all the folders in your rome total war directory into your "Corrupt files, don't use" Now, re install the game. I had the same problem as everyone except im the first one to find this method. Please spread the word, ive been trying to help people but the posts are literally 7 years old. Lol, tell me if this works. If it doesn't I know another method. If you don't get what im saying il explain it simpler right here.

1: Press start (bottom left of your windows computer)
2: Click on the tab on the right side with the title of "Computer"
3: Once you click computer click Gateway (C: Or whatever you have for a computer, these are hard drives so click the one mainly used, if you don't know its the one with the biggest blue bar.
4: Now scroll down and find "Program Files (86x) or (x86)"
5: After your in program files 86, scroll down yet again to find "Steam", if you don't have it for steam click Sega, or Creative Assmebly. (If you have neither then you should be able to find Rome Total War in Program Files 86 somewhere, find it)
_This part is for steam users only, Il indicate when im talking about both steam and other applications_

6: For steam, scroll down to find SteamApps
7: Now at the top, maybe not always at the top but click "common"
8: Now click Rome total War Gold
_This part is for both, anyone not using steam just click start again and look up in the bar "Rome Total War Gold" Or whatever RTW you have._
9:When in your rome total war (RTW) directory, make a new folder and call it something that will remind you never to extract that folder of its contents. (Like name it Corrupted Files.)
10: Drag all the folders (data, replays, saves, preferences all the foldered things on that page) into your new folder named ******, whatever you called it.
    11: Re install the game
12: Have funz. But if you have a saved game you don't want to lose copy your saves folder thats in your rome total war directory and place it on your desktop, when the download has finished drag the old saves folder into the new one.

Do not mod anything in the data folder if you dont want this happenning again. I Still do but I know the stuff I can change, and if you do want to mess around with your data and ****,make a copy of the file your modding, play the game and if it crashes delete the old descr_strat/descr_unit or whatever and name Descr_**** - Copy just Descr__***. This also works for things like darthmod, if you don't want darthmod anymore or just want to play vanilla but still keep your saves copy the data folder, make a new folder in your RTW directory and put the vanilla data folder in there, while keeping the modded one out. then when you decide you want to play vanilla, swap their places. =) No problem! I explained this as thoroughly as possible, if you wan't to know how to mod things for online message me. Bai.

Edited: (Brusilov) Please use a text colour that others can read - I've changed it to black.
