CITY DEFENCE ARROWS COMMING FROM TOWERS.

I was playing Rome Total War lastnight anyway while attacking Sparta my Roman Army captured the city walls,i still noticed arrows comming from the gate towers from the enemy.I was wondering is there anyway i could turn this off its really annoying and nearly wipen out most of my troops altho the walls are captured.

I would also llike to know is there anyway we could have prisoners and offer ransom terms like in Medeival Total War 2 is there a way to mod this.

You can mod the defensive towers... But as far as offering men back for ransom... Thats sounds like a tough hardcoded job. Dont think it would be possible with simple modding.

thanks mate going to start modding the towers now well trying to anyway.

Yeah there is no prisoner mechanic like in Medieval 2, so I don't think it would be possible at all.

Which is a shame, cause I wish it was in RTW as well.

I thought that, if the towers are captured (have your men run through them), they will help your cause by firing at the original owners. Is a bit odd, but that's the way it works.

I think it's very helpfull to have towers.

yes, i was attacking corinth with the scipii and i captured hole the wall. the macedonians had lots of cavalry but because i had the towers they suffered great losses before they reached my guys and even rout before they reached my guys. so i think that's it very handy.
maybe they should leave a men behind in the towers. so they are attacking with 80 instead of 81 (minus one for each tower that has been captured)
