Musicians/bands that nobody hates.

I don't know if anyone has ever noticed this, but there seem to be certain Musicians or bands that everybody likes, or at least that everyone does not dislike.

For instance, have you ever met anyone who hates Bob Marley?
Have you ever met anyone who hates Lynyrd skynyrd?



Can anyone think of any other bands/artists to add to the list?

The only one I can really think of is maybe the Foo Fighters- alot of people really like them, some think their OK, others think they're nothing special, but I know no-one who hates them

I do. Mostly because I am a huge Nirvana fan and it is a personal offense to Kurt Cobains memory for Dave Grohl go onto such a crappy music playing band.

Well i know a lot of people who can't stand reggae, therefore they probably won't like Bob marley either.
I think you'll find people who hate it for pretty much every musician in the World.
Though i dont know who Lynyrd Skynyrd Ravi Shankar or Foo Fighters are, i'll look that up :happy0144

The Beatles, for one. I know people who hate Lynyrd Skynyrd; but no one, that I know, hates Miles Davis. I don't think anyone hates Ravi Shankar, nor does anyone hate Queen, as the poster above said.

I have a strong dislike for early era Beatles (Pre-LSD)


I think hate is too strong a term actually. Thinking about it, the question should have been something like "Musicians that everyone will tolerate listening too".

For instance, if you were at a gathering of people with different musical tastes, what music could you play that would not lead to someone complaining about the music, or something that everyone doesnt mind listening too, basically.

I'd definitly say Queen, Marley, Skynyrd, Miles Davies, Foo fighters etc are pretty close to that description (give or take a few exceptions amongst the population, of course)

But that's because you've never listened to them properly. Giving you Indian Summer wasn't the best example of their work.
