What happened to campaign goals? Realm divide?

Hey everyone,

I hadn't played Shogun 2 in many months, mostly because I was tired of wasting time of long multiplayer coop games that would just desynch.

But my friend and I picked it up again and have have "completed" two campaigns. My question is... what on earth happened to the campaign requirements? You don't have to capture and hold kyoto anymore? No more realm divide?

In both our campaigns some random team "won" very early... without taking Kyoto or coming anywhere near it. Both times it was Chosokabe.. and they only had 3 and 5 provinces respectfully!

What happened to the winning conditions for campaigns??? Was realm divide or having to take Kyoto causing the desynchs?

EDIT: Also I should make clear that we continued with these games anyway, to take Kyoto for 4 turns to "win" by the old standard. At no point did either of us experience realm divide. has that been removed in multiplayer campaigns?
