Several questions on the gameplay.
1. If I play the Papal States factions how do I gain papal favour to request a crusade?
2. Can I decrease the cooldown from one crusade to another?
3. Can I enforce interfactional ceasefires as the Pope?
4. Can I train Inquisitors?
5. Is there a mod that solves all of it?

The Papal States Guide says:

Strenghts:
-Controls the Inquisitors
-Everyone you go to war with, are automatically excommunicated

Weaknesses:
-You can't call a crusade without another faction requesting it
-No princesses (and that makes Fireright angry)
-You can get destroyed if every single Catholic priest dies (but you can avoid it by recruiting priests of your own)

Other information:
On reconciliations: Since everyone Christian you go to war with gets excommunicated, you can offer reconciliation in peace-outs vs Christian factions. This means you can generally ask for more in negotiations. Never just accept their ceasefires, and never just go for peace. See what reconciliation can get you in addition, since peace will give them reconciliation anyway.

On Inquisitors: You won't be notified if they show up. Check your agents tab regularly. They're also only allowed a few kills. After these, their Piety is auto-set to zero, which destroys them.

I think you dont really have any papal favour, but you can reqest all the crusades you want, papal favour will never be a obstacle for you, accoriding to the papal guide you cant, but you can check it out yourself.

Only by modding the text files.

3. Can I enforce interfactional ceasefires as the Pope?

No, the ceasefire missions are issued automatically to other factions.

4. Can I train Inquisitors?

No, they just randomly show up in regions with low piety, so you will have to check for new inquisitors every turn.

5. Is there a mod that solves all of it?

Dont know.

I think you dont really have any papal favour, but you can reqest all the crusades you want, papal favour will never be a obstacle for you, accoriding to the papal guide you cant, but you can check it out yourself.

It is. Sometimes it is too low to ask for crusades. I have also edited scripting for a bit, alas, nothing helped. I posted my problem in the guide.

The pope obviously doesn´t need any papal favor - he IS the pope, he has all the favor he wants (unless he´s depressed or something ).
However, I seem to recall that you can´t call crusades when playing as the papal states, and have to wait until some catholic faction with high papal standing issues a request for it.

That is correct. You cannot call for a crusade if playing the Papal States.

Note to self: do not destroy all catholic factions before you are done destroying the muslim.
