Anyone made the Ashikaga shogunate a vassal before

Has anyone ever made the shogunate a vassal on single or multiplayer because I did it I weakened it's army just by sabotaging its army with hattori ninjas on multiplayer and the city Kyoto was ticked as a captured region.

can you still become the shogunate if you have them as a vassal because vassals are listed as captured regions and have all the clans ganged up on you

Ah, in the single player, I never try that.. but I believe you can't enslave them :p

It was on easy on multiplayer you must sabotage its army as I did and it got weaker and weaker and you and your ally must become powerful clans and make sure you have a good army to the shoguns army was mase up of yari samurai and light cavalry I was the hattori and my ally the oda.

Its possible, but you really need to scare them with several stacks. They will immediately declare war when RD comes along though.

And there is no chance of me making the shogunate a vassal on single player on hard as I'm always restarting a campaign coz I'm gonna lose my last city anyway so I lose the campaign or I just start again

It's much harder to have a stronger army on hard difficulty. I'm playing on hard to get a steam achievement where you must complete the campaign and be the shogun on harder difficultly I'm trying the usiegi clan and alot of the bigger clans take alot of land from each other quite fast and the Tokugawa,shimazu,Otomo and the oda clan seems to die quite fast
