I wanted to know how I can make units fire in skirmish mod. I am very familiar with the PFM editor and I saw where it said "can skirmish" False or true. I did not attempt to change it yet but wanted to ask a more experienced modder to make sure I did not mess the game up.
So the question is, How can I manually make all units capable of skirmish? I also have mod packs so I know I will have to change them also. The reason I am asking is that I believe it allows the game to flow better when units can all fire at will rather than rank fire. Units that use rank fire seem to engage in melee more. bc1212 See post #4. You will of course have to change all the add on unit packs that come with DarthMod and any other add on that you use.
Yes I understand, but when I went to the unit_to_unit_abilities_junctions table I did not see anything that said rank_fire. It had things such as garbornade, artillery, earthworks etc. I tried to attach a picture to show but it was too many characters.
It is in UNIT_CLASS_TO_ UNIT_ABILITIES_JUNCTION_TABLES.
Post 4 said unit_to_unit_abilities. Sorry but of confusion. Yes I open one of the mod packs and the unit_class_to_unit was not present at all. I could only find it in the main data folder, but only around 7 units were listed. How can I change individual mod packs and DM Units manually if that particular unit_class_to_unit etc table is not present but only in the data file. I use mod manager and have not added preferences scripts for any of the separate mods because mod manager has worked fine. Could that be the problem? Still when I found the unit_class_to_unit it did not have many listed which left me puzzled. I can provide a pic to make it easier.
