ok i have been in and out on most of the stuff about the faction units..but will the danes be able to recruit viking units at the beginning of the game like they could in the VI expansions add-in for the original MTW?

Housecarls are in (unit at the official pages), so yes. As for other units such as Geirmenn, Leidang soldiers etc, have no idea, but I guess you will find some more units in the finished game. Longboats are also a good guess.
