    Default Faction heir- dishonourable daimyo

I have observed that in some games my new daimyo got an honour bonus when he served a dishonourable daimyo for a while.. But I am uncertain about this. Does the faction heir receive an honour bonus when he becomes damiyo if the daimyo he served was dishonourable?

Maybe putting up with a complete prick for so long shows how loyal/honourable to their clan they are?
My Daimyos have always had reasonably good/great honour levels so I don't no sorry.

About heir part, no, he does not get any bonus from father at all

If you not research about honor things, your new Daimyo will always start at around 3 honor.

So no matter how good or evil of Daimyo, when he die, deed or sin die with him, so feel free to send him to oblivion.

BTW, I want traits mechanic from Medieval 2 while his father is very high chivalric or high dread, his son will copy his father in the process.

Your heir is greatly affect by how honorable his father was. So everything you wrote are inaccurate and the opposite is true. It transfers to personal honor.

Always seemed to me that my heir was more honorable then my Daimyo was...I believe it is a combination of "inheriting" the Daimyo's honor, as well as his own earned honor (partly transferred from loyalty i think?)

Establish a vassal or two and the problem of dishonorable goes away.

I dunno if you say are true because beside of research to increase Daimyo honor, my new Daimyo personal honor won't get higher than 3 [full research I can't remember but its raise to around 5]

Maybe I should look at it again

    @Basileos Leandros I

Its good way to build up honor by establish but often I found that vassal will get declare war by the others clans which I don't wish to fight them and end up decline to help vassal and got negative honor. Its might even worsen :/

I have had full honor Daimyos transfer 5 personal Honor to his heir. And as Otomo i have had 2 honor transfered to my new Daimyo.

Isn't just the personal loyalty value of heir (while he was an heir) transform to honour? Because I almost always run with full honour daimyo (6,7,8,9 points) and yet often I get 3 honour heirs (base, not mentioning tea ceremony +1 or wifes or retainers). I even got 2 honour heir, while his father was running with crazy 7/8 honour.

It is not. Because i had heirs Daimyo die and heirs come in with the honor reflecting their father, like i said just suicide the Daimyo as Otomo and see the heir come in with 2 personal honor.

But the otomo are different to the other clans because all of their daimyo suffer a -1 honour penalty for being a Christian clan. What I cant understand is that in 1 game I played as otomo my faction heir had 2 loyalty and my daimyo had 1 honour because I had sold lots of land for $$$. When my heir inherited my clan after I suicided my daimyo on a ship he had about four or five honour for no reason that I could see. I had been training the daimyo's heir for a while and he was rank 3 by the time my daimyo had died. He was even less loyal at this point because he was suffering from 'delusions of grandeur.' THis occurs when a general is a higher rank than your daimyo. The only thing that makes sense to me is that I might have won a heroic victory with my faction heir, but as far as I know heroic victories only effect the honour of your current daimyo not the heir. I may be wrong. It was odd because usually when you suicide your daimyo your heir has 2 or 3 honour, not 5 or 6.

I did some testings, and most heirs inherit clan power with 3 honour. However while testing Oda I had following results

Daimyo honour 3 - (adopted starting general, made him heir on next turn, suicide Nobuhide) - Next CL honour 4 (CL stands for Clan Leader)
Daimyo honour 2 - Next CL honour 3
Daimyo honour 4 - Next CL honour 4
Daimyo honour 5 - Next CL honour 4.

I do not think that Daimyo honour = Heir honour. Some influence (like bonus/penalty) maybe, but as I mentioned before I had situation with Oda as well, when my daimyo died in battle (he had 6 honour), Nobunaga took over clan with whooping 2.

Please be more specific the inheritable Honor is personal honor. don't take retainers and other stuff into account. What we know right now is that biological heirs inherit the daimyo honor to some extent, aka it is reflected. What parameters that effect is are still unclear.
