Fatal Error

Whenever I try to start Medieval total war 2 a message pops up saying "Fatal Error" and the game crashes. The game has worked for a long time but when I tried to get this mod the game stopped working. Well, I worked until I tried to select a faction in campaign. Now vanilla medieval doesn't work. I have the game on steam and have re downloaded it and checked the integrity of the game files, but it still doesn't seem to work . If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Well I used run as administrator and it worked but the game crashed again in a custom battle

Ask for help in the main M2TW Tech Help forum. Get M2TW working first and then come back here if you need helping getting TATW working.
