I Just Realized, That Faction Uniform Color DOES NOT HAVE to be similar with Faction Icon Color itself in Warscape.
For Instance:
Imperial Russian Army Main Uniform Color is Green...But The Flag Have no Green at All...
or
Why Does Confederate Uniform is Grey? There's no Grey color in any of CSA's Three Flags...
or
In S2TW, Tokugawa Clan Faction Color is White-Gold, but Their 16th Century Uniform Color are Brown-White-Gold
; and Their FoTS (Edo Domain) 19th Century Uniform Colors are Blue-Blue-Gold

Not To Mention there are Some Special Units with Its Own Unique Color that overrides Faction Colors. e.g. Ninjas Uniforms are Always Black regardless of The Factions.

Alright, I'll play by the rules.

The colours for Rome, Iceni, Arverni and Carthage are okay. I want Macedon to have a purple/orange colour scheme instead of the black one, the suebi one is ok but maybe it should be a tad darker. The seleucids will probably be grey/silver and the ptolemies will most likely have a yellow colour scheme.

Macedons are the poor beggars of this previews when they sould be the most colourfull and adorned by now, even so they are possibly the only greek faction playable. If they arent then the return of the goldy egyptains or the grey seleucids will not surprise me.

I dont like faction specific colours, I have played EB to much. I got used to playing the Arverni against other barbarians, at first it was weird but you get used to it.

Personally I would not use colour coding at all but in case their must be one I would not represent it with the primary colour. In place every soldier would have the colour of his faction as his secondary colour or his tertiary colour. That would be my main rule.

Overall I am satisfied with the tone of the colours show so far. Rome and Carthage colours are OK. Averni colour is very good (it is also the faction with the most subtitle colour code). Macedon code is bad and Iceni code is terrible. Not sure about the Suebi. Most soldiers show were chest naked so it is difficult to judge for now.

I would like to change the Suebi color. I will probably confuse their purple with the roman red. Also, purple is the "royalty" color, makes little sense on Germans.

I think we have had this discussion in another thread but of course you are right. The Germanic tribes have had no source for purble dyes maybe this would make more sense for the Macedons...

This is a very good, constructive thread. I for one have no particular problem with the uniforms... oh hang on wait I already voted, but I forgot about Macedon! They look stupid. Too black. Like Brad Pitt's Myrmidon, but dirty. Black should have been saved for a more deserving faction.
If CA HAS to have bright and obvious colour schemes, I don't see why they have to have all the factions look different. I mean we all would prefer them to looks somewhat more realistic and drab, but if you have the maroon/black of the suebi (which is an invaluable colour-scheme when it comes to realism), then giving the same scheme to Bactria (for instance) wouldn't ruin the game, because what's the likelihood they'll get confused with one another (or even meet on the campaign map?!)

Cool about the emblem of EB's "Sweboz" being so similar to the one CA went with. Can anyone post a link to the source they both must have used please?
