    Default 6.4 CTD During battle

I keep having crashes to the desktop during battles. I get a fatal error message and the program cuts out.

This is specifically during battles. It's never happened to me on the campaign map

You are not giving us enough information, what does the log file say?

    It gave me this

    13:23:50.394 [system.io] [info] exists: missing mods/SS6.3/preferences/player.txt

Also, the error states specifically that it's a graphical error.

Was your installation of SS a clean one?
If not uninstall everything related to M2TW and reinstall them according to instructions.

It should have been a clean install. I had actually uninstalled everything an reinstalled to get the version of Stainless Steel that I'm currently using to work.

There is no player.txt file in my mods/SS6.3/preferences folder.
Some files have to be deleted manually after a prorgam is uninstalled.
Maybe the problem is caused by a residue of a previous installation.
That is the best I can think of.
