you should've seen my Partian campaign, where i use only horse archers (well, that and cataphracts) imagine ten squads of horse archers raining fire upon a single general. ownnnnned. :p

and on that note, have a nice day.
thoughs r funny when u do that to a general who just past the red line out of the battle who still gets hit by the volley of arrows. :pwnd:
It's awesome to kill generals, especially faction leaders, by using flaming catapults and blowing them up. Cheah
yeah, flaming catapults are a romans best friend, nothing like roasting an enemy egyptian chaiot general on the first salvo. owwwwwned. :p

in a battle i just fought i noticed the generals unit was down to 2 men, so i zoomed in to watch his demise. he decided to flee, ended up running past a centurion in a different unit who struck him down first blow as he ran past. bet thats something he'd brag about forever.
Always Outnumbered...Never Outmaneuvered
welll i always keep two cavalry units reserved to hunt down the enemy general

I was playing Medieval Total War...Viking Invasion expansion...playing as the Irish. I had expanded into the british Isles...but the Saxons declared war. By some strange twist of fate, they attack with their largest army, my largest army. However, my army, in defense...is on top of a mountain. Not only this, I have some artillery, and reserves. So the english, they march across a frozen plain, then up an icy mountain, and meet my javelin men. That was pretty cool, in itself, but not the funny bit. Our forces engage, but it is clear that not only is my king a better leader, but my army is beating the english. Their king charges into battle...and I notice simulataneously their mangonel, across the map, fires, for the first time. A little nervous, not too concerned about the actual fight itself, I'm just afraid it will hit my general or reserves. It hits THEIR KING. Head on. He dies, the saxons rout. Battle ends. Turns out...the Saxons had no heir. Their civilization collapses, the most powerful in the game. I'm kinda confused...but happy.![]()

My old faction heir decides to prove himself by destroying an entire factionf with a small rag-tag army, and he is finally cleaning up in Rhodes. I took advantage of the mercenaries, and at this time I had some pikemen, but three units of Cretian archers, two Rhodian slingers, and two normal archer units. Nothing got close. In an open battle, a massive amount of the enemy died without even getting close, probably 70%.
In another battle, it was pikemen vs. Gauls. I had one unit of elephants, set them on the flank. My pikemen slowly advance and just as fighting starts, my elephants charge down the straight line of opponents caused by the pikmen. According to the Win-O-Meter by the time controls, my elephants alone killed approximately 40% of the enemy army (1200 men, same size as my army) within a period of 5 seconds, when they charged without slowing down across the entire enemy line.
I just though it was funny that the entire battle lasted in total less than 10 seconds. By the end of the battle, with arrows and chasing down enemies, my silver chevron elephants killed just under half of the enemy army, alone, without a single loss.
Hey i got a suggestion! lets record all these hillarius endings in fraps then upload it on youtube so every one can share this thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, one time I was advancing on Rome with my legion. The lines are about to meet, pila volleys are launched. The Senate had catapults and tons of archers firing. My men held their line bravely. And then they begin to charge. Just for fun I zoomed in on my general and hit rally, so it looked like he was signaling a massive charge. So i'm like "Yeah, that's pretty cool." Next thing I know he gets blown 10 feet backwards, immolated in flames.
The very LAST onager shot caught him right at the edge of its range![]()
