    Default How can I make a unified Roman faction?

    I've managed to remove the senate, and making Rome the capital of the Julii(although without an army garrisoned inside).But, when I tried to give the Scipii and Brutii cities to the Julii the game would not start(CTD or the campaign didn't start).All I managed to do finally was to remove the walls from their cities and give them just one or two units of velites or arcers, so that they can be conquered within a few turns.Any suggestions?

    You have to remove "Brutii" "Scipii" and "Senate" from the faction list on top of the file. Then you give all their cities to the Julii.

    u can find a patch in download section which will make rome unified

    Do I have to delete also their entries in the file?I mean family members, army, faction relationsips etc?And, will this also work for the mundus magnus map?

    Nope......the campaign will not start.....I removed the scipii, brutii and senate from the playable/nonplayable section and gave their cities to the julii.I didn't change anything else...here's what I' ve done (it's for the mundus magnus campaign) if anyone has an idea....

    use the -show_err in your command line so it will tell you the problem.

    The campaign loads now, but when the loading is complete it will CTD...
    and there is no reference in the descr_regions (for the mundus magnus) of the scipii or brutii...

    No, at least for the version I have(for 1,3 and 1,5) they are just like in the imperial campaign(allied, the senate giving orders etc).

    well if you download mmv3 it has a unified rome.

    That's the version I have too....there's nothing about a unified rome in the .zip, the brutii, scipii and senate are there...

    If you completly remove a faction you need to remove the references to the faction culture from descr_regions. If you're still having trouble let me know and I'll send you an example or review your entire strat and regions file for discrepancies. I went through all this for the Barebones map by IceTorque. Their is also a unified rome for MM by Orbital in the download section but it was for ver 1 or 2. It might still work though. I used that one for my mod also, before I switched.

    That doesn't look good, but you're correct about there not being any brutii, scipii or senate culture tags in descr_regions.

    You have a stray F at the end of the Julii section in your strat file but otherwise it seems ok.

    Fix those and see if it works. You are deleting map.rwm I assume.

    This is the link to Orbital's unified rome for MM RTW 1.2 it might give you an example at least. I know it worked on this version because I used it before.
