Sorry, but I must correct: EB certainly does not focus on barbarian factions. Anyone who has read anything about it at all would know that. I'm one of the Hellenic leads and we've absolutely poured oodles of new content into all of those factions with biographies, traits, names, descriptions, etc. It's a realism mod essentially that goes to many extremes (tens of thousands of new accurate names, a trait system unparalled in any other mod, many many new buildings - more than any other mod, new factions, *all* new units - no vanilla ones left, a huge new map from Britain to India, new nomadic system of gameplay, all new soundtrack, etc., etc., etc.).

Sorry, what I meant was that it goes into the rest of the "barbarian" factions (meaning all but Rome) just as deeply as RTR does with Rome. I know it does much more, but I only jotted this down fast. Sorry for any mis-conseptions. I've just looked into the EB website btw and it certainly does look 10,000 times better than any other mod out yet, I agree the amount of work that went into it must be huge. Untill it comes out though, we'll have to wait for RTR 7.0.

Not trying to say it's better than anything else - that's objective and for each person to decide. Just want to try and get rid of the perception that still pops up from time to time that we're just a mod for making the barb forces stronger.

edit: also, after reading your post #4, I want to make sure it's clear (since it seems like it isn't) that while the finished product for EB hasn't been released yet, a very playable 0.7.4 beta version (for RTW build 1.2) is available from our website.

Depends what you are looking for. If you are into great battles all the time and constant war, many prefer SPQR. If you want to see the ancient world depicted as good as we can get from historical knowledge and the RTW engine, RTR or EB. For the medieval period you have chivalry. EB is the most historically correct as far as I know, hardest to get to know to (most complicated). And it aint even finished yet. RTR is great, but for all its faults EB is amazing to me. Would not reccomend it (sorry Teleklos Archelaou) cause its to good and addictive, the fact that it aint finished yet just has you jumping in anticipation (0.8 now! please), EB could destroy the other mods for you. If you catch the bug, the others might be worthless.
