How to Replace Existing Technology

I want to replace some technology in Empire with new technology, already have
technologies_tables
technologies_effects_junction_tables
technologies_factions_junction_tables
technologies_required_technologies_junction_tables
for my technologies, but it still won't change.
can somebody helpme please? Thanks in advance

you also need ESF Editor to change the values in the startpos.esf. The db tables (although irreplacable) ussually contain only stuff that is neede for technologies to work. the reasearched, research points (costs) of the technologies is determined in startpos.esf. there is a tutorial on it in the ETW Mod Workshop. check the list of Tutorials, Tools and Reources to find it.Originally Posted by Heeehehe

Thank you for the answer but what i mean here is to replace non-starting tech (you must research it to get it), do you know how to do it?

You Want to overwrite a vanilla tech? Then copy the whole 4 table in your pack and remote the tech form the Fraktion or delete all entries related to tue tech you Want to replace.

Yes i want to overwrite some vanila tech with a new one, but only for a few faction not all

How to remote the tech from fraktion? (what is fraktion), do you mean to delete it from vanila pack ? But i only want to change the tech for a few faction, not all , thanks for the answer

Then simply clone the technoology_fraction_junctions_table and remove the tech for every fraction witch shouldn't have them.
