installing mods
its been a long time since ive played mtw2 and i wanted to give the bellum crucis mod a try
i forget exactly how you get mods to work
If i remember correctly you have to
1) run the unpacker (unpack all)
2) delete two files ( i forget what they are, i think one is descr_strat)
3) add --io.file_first to the config file???
im sorry if this is a repost but i could not find the appropriate sticky

Re: installing mods
Read Bellum Crucis' readme for installing instructions. Not all mods do it the same way.
If it's a kingdoms mod, odds are you need to be updated to 1.5 before installing.

Re: installing mods
Not most Kingdoms mods as they have their own folders in the mod folder.
Sorry but I don't know Italian either.

Re: installing mods
found what i was looking for in the readme
- To use the modified files create a batch file in your
Medieval II: Total War folder
- In the batch file add the following line
medieval2.exe --io.file_first
- NOTE: Due to a timestamp check, the following unpacked files will
cause the game to crash and must be deleted before the game is
launched:
data\descr_geography_new.txt
data\descr_geography_new.db
- Save the batch file and then launch Medieval II: Total War using the
newly created batch file.

Re: installing mods
Then, you'll have to unpack the game to delete those two files.
The, again, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...wpost&t=579480.
