    Default Location to place Agent Shamans/Priests

    I have noticed the AI has their priest outside of their towns... I have been building shaman huts in recently captured towns and then recruit Shamans but leave them inside the captured town.... is that the most effect place to put them? or should I have them just outside a town I have captured? If yes?... Do I need to move them further ahead than my armies and place them outside enemy towns I am seeking to capture? Or just keep them at the recently captured town? Or Double my agents and do both at the same time?

    I don't think there is a difference in conversion. I tend to send my priests into the settlement when there is a heretic around, since I haven't seen the AI turn them into heretics while in the city, but that could just be me and my luck

    I have had priests turning into heretics while inside a town before. However there was no other heretic around before (he turned into heretic by itself), it was a simple case of bad luck, I don't know if a heretic can turn someone inside a town, I never let them live long enough to test it.

    As for the place, having them outside or inside is basically the same. Now, as for traits and ancillaries I think it would depend. I know certain traits can only trigger when the priest is inside a town with certain buildings in it, but I'm yet to see a trait that needs the priest to be outside the town. I always place them inside towns anyway. In the case of ancillaries I'm not certain but all the ancillaries I found for priests needed buildings to be triggered.
