Default So, stakes protecting archers... what else?

    Hello everyone,

As we all know the longbowmen have the ability to defend themselves with the use of long very nasty looking spikes. I was just getting excited about meddy 2 as I have nothing else to do but worry about A level results tommorrow, and was thinking if there will be any other goodies like the spikes that enhance the gameplay, for example, rolling burning logs, very unlikely yes I know but what are your thoughts on this folks?

Lets hear some ideas!! Oh what about caltrops! They gotta be in!! :sick0010:

Maybe some sort of siege defence ? boling oil maybe or rocks can hurled down ?

Or some wooden Pavises (sp?) for archers when siegeing ?

Yes pavises would be cool with an animation, like the crossbowmen/archers reloading behind one and then nipping out for a couple of seconds to let loose their arrows...

Oh and while we're on the subject of arrows (sort of) how about being able to choose arrow type for more efficieny against certain units? Out of the question I know but that would be awesome.

You can get boiling oil on RTW. It would be good if units on walls were able to kick ladders down though, but they have a certian time to do it or something.

Im not looking forward to sieging the Castle with the long winding path going up to it with cliffs either side

Especially if the defenders have bowmen. :character

    *EDIT*

Theres only boiling oil on the gates - they oftenhad it boiling in pots to pour on people climbing ladders too. Plus crane like contraptions for dropping debris on attackers.

Oh, your no fun . Anyway, maybe they'll have some new seige defence/offence weapons available? I love how those walls fall down btw, they must be using the same physics engine as EAO3 but better.

Heh, thought I was the only pedant.

Now I don't think that would be historically accuarte, a little surreal maybe but damn weird.
