Icon5 Note being able to save files

Hi there, I have medieval 2 on my windows 7 and I decided to make the non playable factions playable so I went to the descr strat and placed the factions that I wanted to play as under playable and then when I saved it it said ''descr strat all ready exists are you sure you want to save it ?" so I clicked on yes and then it said access denied, is there any way to make it so that I just could save it without comming across these problems ?

Right click on it, go to properties, and disable read only, after that edit the file and save, then tick read only again.
