Based upon some of the info from the faction reveals and the 'artistic map representations' I think for greek nonplayable factions we will see atleast Athens, Sparta, Syracusae, Rhodes, Crete, Epirus, and Pergamon.

Even if we not have a map of the area actually, I say that could be in the list also Cyrene.

Yes, and its probable that Massilia will be controlled by a Greek faction, and the same for the Bosporus.

If I recall well, they stated about 60 factions in total, so 52 non playable at the moment. We can't assume that each non playable will have 1 territory. So it will be really a surprise.

I'd love to see the eastern factions, like Baktria, and a lot of Germanic/Gallic tribes scattered around Central and Northern Europe.

To the OP,

Do you honestly expect or even want CA to spend 9 out of a total number of less then 100 factions to be postioned in Iberia? I can live with some nationalistic feelings in these kind of ideas but I hope nobody seriously thinks that this would be an idea beneficial to the overall game?

I say 3 factions in Iberia: lusitanians, celtiberians and iberians. With an additional presence of Carthaginians in the south and at the west coast perhaps the city of Sargentum in the possesion of the Massalia faction.

I really am to lazy for looking it up but it was in one of the earliest interviews. The interview was in german so I guess that's the reason why the knowledge is not that widespread.

Anyways in the interview CA stated after a bit prodding from the interviewer that there would be somewhere between 10 and 100 factions on the campaign map, but most likely a bit more then halfway between these numbers.

I assumed that this was common knowledge by now and it fits with what we've seen from the capabilities of warscape engine so far.

This would be the minimun i'd be happy with, and it's already weird enough since the iberians would be a fantasy confederation and both the Lusitanians and the Cantabrians would have a lot more territory than actually belonged to them (Gallaecia for the Cantabrians and "Algarve" for the Lusitanians)
