Default Land Block North of Bactria

Long time forum reader (here & RTR.org), first time poster.

I've been playing RTR for ages and have always been Roman or Greek. Just started a Bactria campaign a few days ago and noticed a very annoying land block north of Bactria provinces. I'm presuming this is to enhance AI functionality, but it detracts from the realism as a human player. Does anyone have any idea how to remove the land block? TIA

Yes. First of all, you must be playing RTRPE to have that default landblock there. Right? Now, what you need to do is install the optional mini mod that takes the 2 landblocks out. It`s in this pack:

Yes I have RTRPE w/ Candelarius Extended Realism Mod & Marcus Camillus 4tpy Mod. Thanks for the quick response. Am downloading now & will check it out.

Downloaded the zip and installed the "No Landblocks Optional Add-on." I followed the install instructions exactly, but unfortunately it did not remove the landblock. I tested it with both a saved game (it says it's saved game compatible) and a new game, but no difference. Do you think I'm having problems because I'm running RTRPE on BI? Any idea what file(s) need to be modded, and I can make the edits manually?

Try deleting(or moving/renaming) the map.rwm files from Rome - Total War/data/world/maps/base and from Rome - Total War/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign(if you got one there).

EDIT:Are you sure you put and overwrote the 2 files(map_ground_types.tga and map_regions.tga) to this location:

    "Rome - Total War/data/world/maps/base"

    ?

The "No Landblocks Optional Addon" is an executable, so I don't know which files it installs/modifies. The 2 files (map_ground_types.tga and map_regions.tga) exist in
"Rome - Total War/data/world/maps/base," but I don't know if they are the previous versions or updated ones.

Deleting the map.rwm files did the trick after installing the Addon. And it's saved game compatible. woohoo

Thanks for all your help florin80!!! :happy0144 I would never have figured all that out on my own.
