    Default Role-playing Ideas

Do you ever decide to follow a certain path when playing games. Like try and focus your strategy around a couple of types of units or work towards certain guilds.

For example, you could go for Masons and Merchants with Milan and build mainly militia armies while converting most castles.

Or you could focus on assassins and spies to disable factions before striking fast with upgraded horsemen from Horsebreeders, Hashashins and Thieves with the Turks.

Or rediscover Viking roots as Denmark with Explorers and Swordsmans then only sacking and executing cities with high dread generals.

    Any other ideas/scenarios/campaigns you've already done/will do?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I am me. You are not me. You are you. If I was you, I wouldn't be me.
If you were me, I'd be sad.But I wouldn't then be me because you'd be me so you wouldn't be me because I wasn't me because you were me but you couldn't be because I'd be a different me. I'd rather be any kind of bird (apart from a goose) than be you because to be you I'd have to not be me which I couldn't do unless someone else was me but then they would be you aswell so there would still be no me. They would be you because I was you so to restore balance you would have to be me and them meaning all three of us would become one continously the same. That would be very bad.

Yes, I like to play a supporting role for my allies, like assisting them and using assassins and just sit back and watch what comes of it, and developing one or two heroes (commanders). I don't like to have a huge land cause it's a trouble. I like to experiment rather then pwn everything that moves just to be the most powerful there. Now I'm playing Venice and planning to go with Turks cause I like hashashins and horse archers. But I'm playing with Stainless Steel and AI mods. But that's not roleplaying for me, it's just because I feel lazy to go all-out so it's my usual style of play, and not just in this game. I like to ally and experiment with AI in many games.

Right now I'm role playing the historical events of Spain, only taking settlements according to what actually happened in history (or as close to as possible). It definitely gives you a much better feel for how slow territories shifted for nations versus how fast it happens in game.

I usually try to establish historical empires, not necesserily in the time period.

    - Ottoman empire at it's height (Anatolia, Balkans, Holy land, Nile delta and Eastern med islands)
    - the empire of Charles V (Spain, HRE, Low countries, Naples&Sicily)
    - Umayyad calphate (Iberia, all north africa, holy land up until Armenia)
    - Justinian empire (Anatolia, Balkans, Holy land, Nile delta, all of Italy with Sicily, North africa until Carthage, southern Iberia)
