I currently have eight..... I don't think there is a limit. Only how much hard drive space you have. And Call of Warhammer is an excellent choice of mod.![]()
Well best of luck getting it installed, god knows it's nightmare one way or another. Though this is coming from the one person who can't seem to get it installed for one reason or another.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Just ask Mjol for help. He seems to have some secret knowledge bequeathed upon him as to how the installation goes...
Or you could just ask Gigantus.
In fact, here's a link to 1.5. It includes instructions.

All I can say is this: Don't waste your time with Call of Warhammer, it's buggy as hell and just plan poor in my opinion. If you want a great Warhammer mod, go for The Sundering Total War, it's often been in moddb's Mod of the Year lists and is of excellent quality. Currently they have only one campaign finished which focuses on the civil war between the High Elves and Dark Elves, but soon they will have another campaign out that features most of the Warhammer Fantasy factions as well as Araby, Estilea, and Tilea. It's on this forum, and definitely worth getting.
I don't know about that.... The Sundering feels incomplete to me. The lack of troop variety also is annoying...
There is an awful lot of troop variety, each faction has entirely different units, it's just for the moment that they don't have many model variants for the most basic units. But, that's changing as I've seen the updates, and the "Clone Wars" issues about Spearmen and Archers and things are being resolved.
That's nice to know... Perhaps I shall go back and give it another go. I do enjoy playing as the Human Empire more, but burning your enemies alive with Elven fire is still a blast...
Aye, I do prefer a little variety, but the mod is so well crafted that I could happily overlook it. Also, as far as wanting to be Humans goes, soon you'll be spoilt for choice when they add The Empire, Bretonnia, Estalia, Tilea and Araby to the second campaign map.
I didn't actually know that they were planning on adding another map..... I feel kind of derp now.... But I can't wait to play as Bretonnia!
Haha, it's quite recent knowledge actually as it was only announced in the past few weeks. They are also adding Wood Elves, Beastmen, Tomb Kings, Dwarves and of course, Orcs and Goblins. I did at one point try to convince them to add rebel "factions" of each of these, but I've no idea if they'll be added. Overall, they're doing a great job.
Will they be giving Beastmen a complete unit roster/make Beastmen a playable faction, or will they be downgraded into an NPC faction with next to no unit variety like in Call of Warhammer?
Since the new map doesn't reach as far as the Chaos Wastes, the Beastmen faction will, from what I've seen, be a fully fleshed out faction that also includes Daemonic units, as well as Norse and Chaos Warriors as Mercenaries.
ill give the sundering a go then thanks for the recommendation PaulH![]()
