When I launch a Eb campagin, it crashes and returns back to my normal computer screen, what's the issue to fix this?

Make sure you have followed the installation instructions exactly. If you have any doubt, reinstall. It takes patience but its worth it. All the information is on the forums to correctly get EB 1.2 working. Also it may be helpful if we knew more about your system, like Operating System, Processor type, amount of memory you have and which folder it was installed into. Does vanilla RTW work? If so then start from there. If not reinstall RTW. Then patches for RTW if you need them, then restart EB installation process, then make sure to install the fixes too. Read and troubleshoot my friend.

Installation

First make sure you have a clean RTW 1.5 installation on your computer where you have installed EB 1.1, with no submods. This is to make absolutely certain old files or directories won't cause problems for the EB installation.

You should already have a clean 1.5 RTW if you followed the installation guide for 1.1, so even if you have installed submods it should be a simple matter of installing EB 1.1 into a copy of that one. If you don't have this and need to install RTW 1.5 again, you should now make a copy of that clean 1.5 RTW so you have it available for easily making another installation in the future. Then you won't have to install RTW again, but only EB.

If you have Vista, make sure that you have the RTW installation where you add EB outside of Program Files. You may get problems either immediately, or when it's least convenient, if you still install EB under Program Files.

Double-click the EB installer file and follow the instructions on screen. Make sure that you select the RTW folder, IE the one where RomeTW.exe lies under. Also make sure that you remove the boilerplate text that comes after the folder that you choose.

Refer to the installation guide post for more specific instructions and special cases. Refer to the installation validation post if your EB doesn't work after installing.

As always, new versions of EB are not savegame compatible.

Once you have installed v1.2, install the game fixes, found here: 1.2 Fixes you should try before posting. These fixes are a must and may fix game ending bugs. Fixes are updated, so check back later if problems occur.

Oh certainly

When I first installed this mod(not the 1.2 as of yet) This mod worked fine, I could launch campaigns using the EB selection without it having to crash. And I didn't have RTW 1.5 installed at that time. Now that it is isn't working on campagin, it seems a bit weird.

When I uninstalled it, previously when I launched it, it crashed on campagin, so I uninstalled it, installed it, but it couldn't find the file nesscary to direct it. So I installed on the program files( not so great with mods) I didn't know which was the correct file in which to install.

So you installed EB into the RTW directory in C:/Program Files ?

Sometimes this causes issues with permissions but it still works. So you did install the updated RTW patches and EB 1.2 with fixes?

Have you ever tried installing RTW into another directory for instance I installed mine into C:\Games and then directed the installer to install EB 1.1, 1.2 and fixes there.

yep, just what Frtigern said, but if I my add...I also have win 7 and I installed EB to a new folder I made, c:/games.. also try to dissable UAC (user account control)

This is confusing. After I've reinstalled it it says it can't launch due to MSSS.32 being missing. I'm fed up of the installation process around here.

So it sounds like your missing a dll. That is crucial for your system to run right. You can download this particular dll here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?mss32 See if that helps. Dont get frustrated. Sometimes its a problem with Windows not RTW or EB. Be patient and search for the answers.
