Default Help an Poor computer noob !

I know i need to upgrade for M2TW, but i dont know excatly what my specs are. I know i have a 128 mb radeon x300SE and 512 MB of ram (Dont laugh) i know these are unbeleivably crappy specs but i dont know really anything else about my performance. I was checking for specs on my comp but i had trouble as i didnt really know what i was looking for.

As a refrence i can play RTW on Huge settings with Moderate-High Detail and it only lag's During Bridge battles, some seiges with craploads of people, and regular battles with 7500+ soldiers.

I want to know what i should get for things like Video cards (Dont want to buy a 600$ video card, and more ram if i can get a cheaper one that will do the same) and how to install it, i dont want to do it myself because i have absolutely no expereince in these kind of situations.

I would appreciate it, very, very much if anybody could help.

The game is not out yet, so there's no way of telling. Best to wait for it and then buy.

Go to download.com and download a program called CPU-z. Use it to find out about what you have. Unless you want to dig up some documentation on your pc.

The problem is, is that the comp i have internet on is not the comp i play RTW on.The one that plays RTW does not have a working internet, which complicates the whole process.

Floppys and CDs are obsolete. Just spend about 50 dollars for a good flash drive and use that for the next 10 years, until something better comes out. You can get one with a gig of memory for around 50 dollars from any electronics/computer store.

I have a car and I want to upgrade it.

It has 4 wheels and a roof. Can you help me?

You'd tell me to call the Manufacturer and ask. Same to you.

    What Manufacturer is it?
    What model number is it?

    Google and ye shall find.

Is it a cheap dell? If so you probably cant upgrade it. I had the same problem. I got one that only had a PCI video card slot which is a format that is not longer used, but the case, motherboard etc are all custom made by dell to be incompatible with generic hardware.

I have a 3000 and such is the case, but how much was computer when you bought it? Because if its more expensive and newer then there is a chance it has the proper type of graphics card slot.

i beleive it was around 650-750 dollars. So i hope it can still upgrade.

The graphics card is Radeon made, so i think it can still be upgraded.

Did the radeon card come with the computer or did you buy it to replace an integrated card?

Ok, my guess is that you should be able to upgrade it, but im not completely sure, so maybe calling customer service would be the best option, and all you need to know is what type of video card slot you computer has, be it PCI-Express, AGP, or the outdated PCI.

Buy one, that should end that problem. Or better yet, get a router and some lines.
